| I lost 60 lbs in 3 mos before, eating under 1000 calories a day..Everyone says you have to eat breakfast to lose weight, and your brother is right by what they say..but, with my body, if I ate 6 small meals a day, I would gain weight..I never eat breakfast, nor hardly do I ever eat lunch..I only eat when I'm hungry..If you're hungry, drink a big glass of water within 10 min. if you're still hungry, then you need to eat, if not, then its just a habit of eating...I have worked at 2 exercise places.. |

| Losing weight is very hard..you really have to exercise everyday..I used to walk 1 1/2 miles a day(everyday), rain, snow, it didn't matter what the weather was like..once you get out of that habit, it's hard to get back in to it.. You have to remember, you know your body better than anyone else, and you have to do what is right for you to lose it...I know with me, I have to eat under 1200 calories a day to lose weight..but, also remember, it's best to take it off slow..just a couple pounds a week..keep plenty of fresh fruits and veggies in the house too, and when you get hungry, snack on one of those instead..but, also, if you have a craving for something, eat a little bit of it, don't deprive yourself, or you will end up eating a lot more of that one thing later...good luck!! too bad we weren't closer to eachother, we could diet and walk together |

| Especially if you are trying to lose weight, breakfast is THE most important meal. Not eating breakfast encourages your metabolism to stay low. If you are not very hungry in the mornings, focus on a food that is high protein and it doesn't need to be a lot - but you should eat something. 6 meals a day doesn't work for people who are super busy, but it is a very wise way to eat for weight loss. Each meal should be approximately 250-300 calories (which is not much at all), balanced in protein, healthy carbs and low in fat and that will keep your blood sugar levels even and not allow you to become so hungry you eat everything in the house!!!! Drinking water is equally important. Really strive to get 6-8 glasses a day. A glass before each meal will really help you feel full as well. Good luck!!!!

| The reason your supposed to eat several "tiny" meals a day is to keep the body working to burn fat. If you don't eat, the body shuts down to save reserves and therefore you could get sick, lose muscle mass. To deny your body of food will mean your body will crave sweets and carbs like crazy. Starving is not the answer. Not eating, and then exercising is harmful. Your skin will start to look ashen and can break out, your hair will be dull or even start falling out. The best thing to do is eat fresh fruits and veggies several times a day. No sugars. You can have 1/2 baked potato once or twice a week, and even some baked salmon. Drink mostly water. This is the healthiest way to eat, live and lose excess fat. It isn't a diet! Your fat will burn of in record time, your skin will take on a healthy glow, your hair will be soft and shiny, and your energy level will go thru the roof! |
