| I am afraid to post this because I am afraid I will get hammered, but I must. I know I may get hammered for posting this, but my new baby the Pommie Bijou has apparently taken over the house in less than 4 days. He went from howling last night to this, I guess the howling is not being frightened but the alfa demanding his attention which we gave him. Today he bit me, I am lucky I had the fleece top on or I would be bleeding, he rushed at Bandit two times and for no reason. Just a minute ago he did it again, he went to chew my slipper and I told him no and tried to take it and he rushed aggressively at me. I am shocked. I am actually afraid of him. His registered name is Devil's Rock. Now I am seeing that the guy was not joking when he said he was a devil. Please dont chasticize me for this but I need help. He went from confused dog in a new home to extremely aggressive and obviously has assumed Alfa role, he is only 5.2 months for heavens sake, but has a big bad dog attitude, and I am scared of him. I take him up and firmly say no, but that does nothing. i dont want him to end up being afraid of me, but i cant have this behavior and I dont know how to make it go away. Poor little bandit is actually afraid of him and approaches him with his tail down and ears back, bandit was a very confident little boy, now look what has happened in just some days. I cant have this dog take lead, especially ifhe is showing biting aggression, and it is NOT mouthing or playing. It is down right rushing with an adult tone of growl in his voice. So this sweet little fur ball is really a very aggressive dog under the fur. I just wrote the man to ask if he ever bit anybody or if he was ever socialized. |

| Sournds like my dog Sam when he was a pup..... I ended up with a wonderful trainer. Really she trained me...:O).... I turned him over on his back and held his neck and made him look me in the eye while I told him firmly NO BITE...not until he looked away did I let him go. I did have to do this over and over for several hours.... and in a few days he learned I was the boss....it wasn't easy but I too was a little afraid...now he is the most precious pup around. Good luck

| I'm so sorry, but I had to laugh when you said the guy said he was a devil. I know it isn't funny. You are going to have to develop a very strong and deep voice and tell him no very meaningfully and then perhaps put him in his crate or something like that. You can't have that happening. He's just got an attitude and you have to be the boss. Good luck hon!

| agression He is only a puppy. He can be trained. You must not let him know you're afraid of him. With proper training he can become a great dog. |

I know that, and I love him, but I am afraid, my pores stand when he does that snarling unexpectedly. I just need help. I even held him up towards me to tell him no in a rough voice and he SNARLED in my face

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if your having these problems with him at such a young age i highly recommend you get a professional trainer to come to your house to see him in his element.

Honestly, his pedigree registered name is Devil's Rock Corrado, the man said he saw a little devil face so he named his this from small . When I saw him he was a cute little dog with an attitude and I saw a naughtiness and dominance in him. My poor little Bandit is now afraid of him, so it means he has actually come and in four days assumed alfa over bandit? Can I correct this also? Normally dog number one is always over the newcomer dog. Bandit was definitely over scooby, but this one he seems to have taken over. So last night's howling was not fright, it was hey you smallies, come take me to where I wnt to be. I will not keep him in my room tonight. he has to earn this and when he is respectful of me, then he will come back. he can howl until the moon stops shining. I know it sounds mean, but I must do this. This dog shows no sign of fright Last edited by soccbydo; 01-30-2008 at 02:34 PM.

Oh thanks for the clarification. Yes, he is snarling exactly like that dog, except he is small but small or big, they bite. I wonder why he is like this? So by professional trainer do you mean I shoudl forget puppy socialization classes and go straight for the core?
