| How did you choose? Im always so curious to see how people came to pick their furbabies name. Was it after someone famous, a place you like to go or something special that means something to you? I named Autumn this because she was born on the first day of fall (otherwise she would of been Starr) and Blaze got his name because we love the song Blaze of Glory from Bon Jovi! (He was going to be Ranger because hubby loves the NY rangers and my son loves the Power rangers but Blaze won out!) How about everyone else, tell us how you decided on your babies name!!!

| We just thought Koda was cute name for our little man, but later we searched the internet and found out what it mean't. Koda is Native American (I think Apache) for 'friend'. Also, I'm pretty sure it also means 'black bear' in Native American(thats part the reason why his middle name is 'bear') as well. We were also thinking about naming him 'Kodi' but in the end we liked Koda the best!

| I named him Piccolo because he was so tiny.

| I had Penelope's name picked out years before I ever met her. She was my very first and I waited all my life ( 45 years ) for her. It's a darn good thing that I didn't fall in love with a male first... Tobias was named by the breeders children. We had picked out the name Henry, but one look at him and we knew ... he was meant to be a Tobias. He still retains the name Henry on his registration though ... Hebron's Honorable Henry Miss Lily was named this because she looks like a " little Miss". She is very girly-girly and sweet and nothing seemed to fit as much. Tulsa was named Tulsa because she came from Oklahoma and she looked like a little cowgirl from the west. Still does.... Brady is one of our own puppies that we decided to keep after fixing his mother and father. He was originally named Vino, but refused to answer to it. During the football games whenever we said the name Brady ( we are huge Patriots fans ) he would come running and sit right in front of us. So, Brady it is... |

YT 2000 Club Member | I am a Big fan of the New York Yankees. I have a great appreciation for Derek Jeter, he is an awesome player on the field and I have Never hear a bad thing about him.I collect his baseball cards and the starting lineup figures and any "dolly" that they make. I just Love Derek Jeter. When I first started looking to get a Yorkie over 10 years ago, I told my husband that I was going to name him Jeter and even though it was a long wait, I am very Happy to have My Jeter. The name just seems to suit him. and every one that knows me couldn't dream of me giving him a different name

| We've been talking about getting a dog for a long time - my son has been asking forever (and so have I). We've gone through lots of names. For a while, we were liking 'napoleon' -- and a couple others. My son came up with two choices: Krypto (from the cartoon Krypto the Superdog) Scrappy Doo (from the ScoobyDoo cartoon) For the most part, we all agreed that those were ok names for a lil boy, but my husband favored Scrappy. When we got home and the little guy started playing - we knew it fit. |

| I got Alphy from Linda (lksdolls) when he was 8 months old so he came with the name. I didn't want to change it after he had had it for so long and was used to it and coincidentally it fit, not that I did this on purpose by my kids are Amanda, Ashley, then I had gotten Abby, so naturally I stayed with the "A" name of Alphy.

| We named Jamie after us (Jason & Amy)...our friends would always kid around and call us Jamy, but we changed the spelling because no one could pronounce it right!

| I went through the baby name book and wrote down the ones I liked. Then I handed the list to dh and asked him to cross off the names he absolutely hated. We were left with a list of about 12. We then took turns eliminating a name. When we got down to two names we simply couldn't choose one or the other so we let our breeder choose. She liked Adie's name best. Now I am happy to say the we will be using the other name for the little boy we are getting in May. He is three days old today and his name is Skeeter. He is also Adie's half brother. </IMG> |
