| ![]() You have to be in charge of this puppy. Right now, he's running the household. I wouldn't let a puppy get by with this behavior at all. This behavior would not scare me, it would really make me determined to correct it. It takes both you and your husband to make it work. How does he do on long walks? Get him outside for long daily walks and tire him. Some of this could be vent up emotions. He does need socializing, but not until you and your husband have shown him "who's the boss". |

| ![]() The dog in the video is trying hard to warn and not bite....I would not test him, but if he was a real killer, he would have ripped that guys hand the minute he extended it... Best wishes training your dog.. |

| ![]() He is only 5 mths old, wow you have to take control now, my new little guy is the same age and has never once growled, and he had to fit in with 4 other babies, maybe you should contact the breeder again, ask him about his behavoir isssues you are having.

i know it is scary to think the dog will bite you...but you have to show him you are not scared..even if you are. they can sense these things and he knows he can get away with that behavior. if he is only 5.5 months old, he is still very young and needs to be taught to be submissive to you. when he does that, quickly grab him, put him on his back and secure him so he cannot bite you. then get as close to his face as you feel comfortable with and just repeat NO NO NO NO until he gives in. and you WILL have to do it several times. I seriously doubt he will learn immediately..you have to be consistent. and each and every time he gets an attitude...on his back he goes. you can do this. i know you can ![]() and no...you will not get bashed on here for asking this kind of advice. now...if you said you want to beat him with a belt...then yes, you would get a lot of negativity..but you have come here looking for help, and that is what you shall get ![]() good luck at the trainers. I agree....this is a very important thing with aggressive dogs...you need a good, professional trainer that can show you how to correct this.

| ![]() It's awful that your Puppy is acting like that at such a young age. I have 7 dogs. 5 Yorkies and a 9 year old Lab, 5 year old Golden Retriever. My Lab and my male Yorkie try to be the boss of each other. I have only had to step in once or twice. I put a stop to it immediately and I let them know that I am the boss. My advice to you is to keep telling him NO!!.... and put him in a cage.."TIME OUT" every time he shows his teeth or growls at you. Doing this he will realize that he is in there because he has done something wrong. I dont personally allowe my dogs or dog to be the "ALFA" dog. I'm the boss and thats how it is. It was hard in the beginning to get them to understand what I expected out of them. But now things are great between them. A funny story is ...That I catch him ( My Male Yorkie) Showing his teeth but as soon as I look at him he rolls to his back. It's the funnies thing I have ever seen. So yes they do learn. Don't give up on him he just might be testing you to see what he can get away with. GOOD LUCK! |

| ![]() Remember they can sense the fear from you and that makes them the winner. You have to be strong and get help. He is small enough to get changed with a good trainer. And your dog Bandit will be fie. I hate to think a small dog that young is that aggressive. Dog Whisper is a really good show to watch and get tips from. However you need a trainer as soon as you can and let them know ahead of time you need one to help with behavioral issues. Sometimes there are certain people that do that training. Good Luck and don't give up on the little guy.

| ![]() I think since he's still so young you can definitly get him trained and he'll be o.k. I hope things turn out o.k. I know it's no fun owning an aggressive dog ![]() THAT VIDEO-OMG that guy is an IDIOT! Why would you do that to a dog? And to record it and post it on Youtube like it's something so awesome! Then when he does get bit he's going to go crying like the little girl that he is and want the poor dog put down, even though he's the one egging the dog on.

| ![]() I think you had similar issues with your poor Scooby, didn't you? Perhaps Bandit is so sweet that he is obviously the subordinate dog when you bring a new dog into the house? (Or your adoration for Bandit causes some sort of rivalry between him and your other pups.) I agree with your other posters that training is in order. And you're on your way to that, so let us know how that goes.

| ![]() I hope you can find a way to solve this, maybe just training and lots of exercise(seems to help sometimes with aggression) will work for the little man. I do have to say that when I watched that video I had Brewser on my lap and volume turned up, when the dog started growling Harley, my shepard cross, aka Brewser's protector- jumped up, quickly sniffed Brewser(who was still sleeping) as if to say "are you okay" and then shoved her way between myself and Brewser and the computer and knocked all the speakers flying!!! I can't believe he would post that, or even record it. |
