| Potty training support group Hi everyone, I'm going to be starting Coco on potty training all over again when my little rascal box gets here. I was thinking that a group for potty training support might be a good idea but didn't start one up yet until I see if there is interest. I figure there is always training going on so it would be useful and all in one spot... anyone game to join with me? I know there are those out there that have posted recently about trying a new product, or trying to go for just outside or even just training a new puppy... I'll start the group if I get some peeps to join it with me so i'm not talking to myself. LOL

| I'll join Ella is 10 month old and has accidents once is a while. Potty training is very hard especially if you live in place that is cold and snows in the winter time. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | Potty trainers always need support! I think I am on the tail end with Thor , but we need to go three months without an accident before I'm ready to say he's officially trained.

| I'm in! I will have Bailey in a little over a week, and will be starting him on the Wizdog and hope it works for him, but I know it is going to be difficult, and who knows, it may not work and maybe I'll have to switch to something else. I find it interesting and helpful reading other peoples experiences with training their puppies

| Support Group I'm in as well. Thought I joined the other day. But this is Day 1 for me. I picked up my 10 wk old Lily today. She threw up on the ride home in the car. Poor baby. I am planning to train her to potty in a litter box. She peed the 1st time in the litter box (hooray) but pooped in her crate. I have the Yard pen XT or something like that, which I purchased from PetSmart. Her crate is inside the yard pen along with food and water. I reduced the size from 6 panels to 4 to restrict space. I had her water & food out in the remaining area but after she pooped in the crate I put it inside but left the door open. She also has some toys in there. She shivered and whined and barked a lot all afternoon. By evening she was a bit quieter. At 10:00 I put a beach towel over her crate And turned out the lights, when I went down to check on her she was asleep in the litter box (it has a pee pad in it not litter). I got her to move to the crate and she is sleeping in there now. I also ordered another pen which I saw in a post to Niterider. I plan to have that one in my LR. Right now she is downstairs and I am upstairs. I think she will be happier if she can see me. I'm really nervous about this potty training tho. I wonder if she will sleep thru the night and what's in store tomorrow. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm in too! What a great idea. Lulu is 5 and a half months old. She is only pad potty trained. She is pretty good, but we have at least one accident per day. She knows where her pad is, but choses the hallway area as an alternative Go figure. Nadezda

| Lily Day 2 Lily slept quietly thru the nite and when I went in to check on her @ 6:30 she was quietly sitting at the gate of her pen. We played with her a little and when she started to poop I caught her and put her on the wee pad. She finished there and I gave her a treat. Since then she has been mostly whining and barking. I ended up closing the window as she is loud. A little shivering thrown in and not much eating. Random nibbles here and there. My instrx said to give her some nutri-cal today which I did but got worried anyway and called the breeder. They said it wasn't hypoglycemia whining but more "I want out of this pen" whining. She hasn't gone to the bathroom again since. Her 1st vet visit and 3rd shot are tomorrow so I can ask them some questions and make sure I'm handling this correctly. Whew, this is a tad stressful but I prepared myself for a long journey and it begins with a single step. I am in love with her already! |
