Lily Day 6
No accidents at home today. Went home at lunch to spend a few minutes with her. When I got home she had dragged the pee pad out of the litter box but still peed in the box. I guess that's Ok. The only problem we had was later that eve re her riding in the car. I took her in her carry bag. Sat with her in the car before staring it. We drove about a mile, was going to Home Depot to pick up more plastic runner to put under the new pen I ordered from Amazon (someone suggested on thei site - I plan to put it in my living room so she can see me. I will have 2 pens) Anyway when I got to Home Depot she had pooped all over the carrier. Needless to say we couldn't go in the store. I had to take her home and give her a bath. I felt so bad for her. So, I guess I won't be taking her for a visit to my boyfriend's mother's house tomorrow. She'll have to stay home alone for a few hrs. Since it's Sat I had planned to spend the whole day with her. Sad but I guess there will be plenty of time for that when she's older. We also have a consult with a trainer scheduled for Sun afternoon. Just to talk and have him take a look at my situation.

You can always put a diaper on her, if you want to take her visiting friends and family

Default Lily - car sickness

I had a diaper on her but she must have scooted out of it, so poop was everywhere as she struggled to get out of the carrier, to put it politely. But, it's not the pooping that is the problem it's that she gets motion sickness. She has thrown up the other 2 times we were in the car. I think the pooping episode was partly due to her car sickness. So not sure I want to risk it. any suggestions ???

Default Potty Traning 101

Why is this happening. Jada is almost 2yrs. old and was trained to go on the wee wee pads and outside. Now she will pee anywhere in the house. She will be right next to the pad and pee on the floor. Is she angry at me? What have I done. Help. I know she knows better, what am I doing wrong

I'll Join! I am a new Yorkie mom. Got my lil' Callie~Lou yesterday. No clue how I am going to approach potty training yet, because I will be going back to work during the day in a couple of months. Right now we are trying the pee pads and outside. We are open to any suggestions~

Default Lily Day 8 - 2nd home

I put up the new pen in the living room so Lily could be part of all the "action" instead of being downstairs alone when she is in her pen. I think this is going to work out really well. I used an identical litter box and I brought up her crate and put it in there so she wouldn't have too much excess space. She did her business in the litter box with no problem. I finally get to watch how she spends her time. I rarely saw what she was doing once she was in her pen downstairs. She runs around jumping in and out her litter box and pen and actually plays with her toys. Once it was bedtime I followed our usual routine, took her crate back to the other pen. Off to sleep she went. I took her outside for the first time (carried her). She was shivering again so I guess since she has not been outside before it makes her a little anxious. I will take her out for a few minutes ev couple of days. I also bought a new carrier that is mesh all along one side. Hopefully this will help her feel more comfortable in the car. Oh, she also tries to jump out of my arms now. That's new. She loves to run and she's very fast.

Lily Day 9
I think I'll report in less frequently now. She seems to have step 1 down. when I increase her space I'll let you know how she does. I'm going to continue with our current routine for now. Going to start getting her used to outside and the car. I'll continue to read the posts for the group tho.

Default I am joining too

Hey, I wondered what happened to the YT Potty log. LOL Now I know. I left town, and then didn't make it back on the forums much.

I am leaving town again on Thursday, so when I get back next week, we are going to try to train Penny to use a fake grass thing. She is pretty good with the pad, but can't go but a few days without an accident.

So, I will read about all of you guys' progress and then start working on Penny diligently next week.

Default MARKING will and if it will stop?

I have my lil man who is almost 2 years old (not fixed) and continues to mark eveywhere in my house. I take him out in the morning, before I leave for work. My daughter takes him out at 2pm then 6pm then I take him out before bed time and he STILL marks everywhere in my house. My carpet and furniture is ruined. What can I do?
