| Breeder review for Carol Woods I am posting this message to inform the Yorkie public that Carol Woods of ctoydogs.com has misrepresented a dog I purchased from her. The dogs name is Lake Buena Vista Canadian Nugget. She claims and has promoted him as a Champion finished by Cesar and Glausia Moscoso of Lake Buena Vista Kennel in Brazil but that is not true. I became suspicious when I didn't receive a Certificate of Championship with Nugget's paperwork and started investigating the matter. I received e-mails back from Glausia Moscoso confirming that Nugget is NOT a champion and was never finished by them. I know she has sold puppies out of Nugget and I would like to get this info out to them somehow. This is highly unethical. I am very disappointed in Carol Woods as I trusted her and she took advantage of me. In the Yorkie community, we are supposed to be help one another for the good of the breed, not lie and rip each other off. The only way I know how to help anyone out at this point who have purchase a puppy out of Nugget is to offer them copies of tests I've had done so far on Nugget. These would be OFA, Luxating Patella, Legg-Perthes disease, Bile Acid and CERF. I'm really trying to do good work with my dogs and should I sell any puppies in the future, I can at least provide this info and hopefully have some sound disease free puppies out there. I'm new to this breed, and this has been a bad experience that I won't forget for a long time. I love Nugget and he has a forever home with me. His teeth were bad when I got him (moderate to severe gingivitis). He required antibiotics before and after his teeth cleaning. He also has fleas and ear mites. It really bothers me that Carol Woods made (I'm sure) alot of money off his puppies and did not take better care of him. I just don't get it. |

YT Addict | I'm sorry this happened to you! I am quite surprised because I have known of Carol and her breeding program for four years now. I have only heard positive recommendations... This is sad news

| RE: Carol Woods I have only been in the yorkies for 1 year and I have learned so much. I have been able to donate Nuggets blood to Dr. Center of Cornell Univ. in New York for her bile acid study. I like your phrase: Breeding is a privilege. I sure think so. It is also a great responsiblity if done right. Thank you for your e-mail. -Andrea Cobb |

| Unless I'm reading her website wrong, it looks like she has 18 breeding Yorkies and 10 breeding Maltese. 28 breeding dogs in all. Seems like a lot. Elaine |

YT Addict | I think she got me too!!! I bought a puppy from Carol Woods back in April of 08. He is off of Lake Buena Vista Canadian Star. She told me that she was a Champion from Brazil. She give me a cope of her Pedigree, which I think she typed up. She still has a long tail because they want let them cut them in Brazil. This made me believe her even more. When I got Ace's papers back It did not have Br Ch in from of the name that would let you know that she is a Brazil Champion. I have been trying for months to get up with the people at Lake Buena Vista and can't get a email back. I have tried email and asking Carol about it. I bought him as a stud to breed and wanted the best bloodlines and had google Lake Buena Vista and only saw good things. I paid a lot of money for him and his bloodline to find out it may not be true. If any one knows how I can find any thing out, let me know. I have looked at some of the dogs pictures that is in his pedigree and he looks just like them. I do love him and he is the pettiest Yorkie I have ever seen in person!!! I am happy to have him Champion Mom or not, but I hate being made a foul of!! Julie |

| The only champions that will show up in AKC pedigrees or AKC papers will be champions that earned their championship here in the United States, since AKC is American. AKC stands for American Kennel Club. In you email to LBV did you type it in Spanish, since they are in Brazil?? |

| Gosh that is awful. At least you are doing the right thing with all of the test and even helping people that might have a offspring of his. I tried googling his name to see how beautiful he is and came up emtpy handed. Did he at least look like the pictures you received of him? |

| RE: Carol Woods I'm sorry this happened to you. Lake Buena Vista Kennel will probably not answer your e-mail because Glausia Moscoso does not want anything to do with Carol Woods. It took me a long time to get a response and when I did, Glausia told Carol to stop lying to me! You are welcome to contact me for info at abcobb@knology.net. -Andi |

You are so right Pat, but they are a bit similar. Since Portuguese is harder to speak/write and not many here in US speak/write in Portuguese compared to Spanish, I thought it would be easier for someone to write in Spanish and then someone could somewhat understand if Portugese. Grammar structure is similar. I heard that Portuguese is like a cross between Spanish and French. T. | |

| Yokies LBV Julie, I am brazilian. I breed Yorkshire terrier too here in Brazil. Here we speak in portuguese, but almost all the people know to talk or write in english ( or they can use the google translater,...). But you can write to Glaucia Moscoso freely. She is my friend and she is a great person to talk about our dear yorkshires. You can take a look on her website to check the informations that you are looking for. Really that titles wil not appear in an american pedigree, but it will appear like a title got in another country ( like we have in the pedigrees by FCI: "title got in the exterior"). You can tak to me by my email: gomesjairton@ig.com.br Cheers. Jairton. |

| Julie You would not beleive what happen to me... We got 2 females from a lady named peggy, after we have babies we find out the DNA on the females daddy did not match his father... Well guess where his father came from ? yep you guessed it. Guess what else the mom was not the mom also. She sold the pup to a brooker and she wants to say the brooker messed up, but after all the DNA came back ok on all the pups that the brooker sold from other litters she can't say that anymore. I have been 3 years trying to get her to send me 1 replacement female with a pedgree as good as the ones I thought I had...NONE..She don't think she did anything wrong. AKC saids it comes back to the breeder and that breed should make good on this, but they can't make them. I would like to know what others have to say on this, I also put it on my site. pirates thanks Lynda |

YT Addict | well the pedigree on Ace though me off some I thought it would have had some kind of tile for the mom if she was a Champion in Brazil, but maynot. For as Ace I would never seen him back he is all of a show yorkie to me. I think he is the prettiest yorkie I have ever seen. I just wish I had the time because I would so put him in shows. He is the size I wanted and love his hair, he has the best coat, there is nothing I would change about him. So even if I was to find out that the mom was never a Champion I would still be very happy with him. He looks like a show dog. & he has the big eyes, they are so pretty, you just don't see eyes like this in most every day yorkies. When I went to Lake Buea Vista's web site their Yorkies has this same eyes as Ace. He looks like so many of their Yorkies so I do know he came from great bloodlines. I could not even think how great his hair could look if I did all the wraps and things the show breeders do. I love him very much and thank Mrs. Woods for him, the only bad thing I have with her is she will never retrun any emails. And I have never had a problem with just question I would love to learn. I was hoping I was not just buy a puppy but help from a show breeder. One day I would love to get another from this bloodline. You can tell the differents between everyday yorkies and show line yorkies, it is night and day. |
