Looking for show prospect female I am looking for a possible show prospect female with the Mayfair and Chelsea Nimar lines. I prefer the baby doll face, but with a clear head and dark steel blue - yet a silky coat. And a nice body. I use to show years and years ago and want to return now that I am an empty nester and can devote the time. I know also how to grow a coat and all that it takes to show. I had these lines before and love them - great confirmation. I would be willing to co-sign and write that I would show her.

Thanks I am really wanting the Mayfair and Chelsea Nimar line. I know I might have to wait, but willing to. I know her pups and they are so cute. I might call her just to talk about yorkies and to get to know someone in GA with the same interest - our yorkies. Thank you so much.

Chelsea Nimar They were in Texas. I think they were also professional photographers too! This is why their pictures of their babies were to die for! Really cute!

I don't know if this will help, but I did a quick Google search and the only thing that came up was a Sandra Fischer of tinyyorkies.com who owns a stud named Raisen who has the Mayfair and Chelsea Nimar lines in his pedigree. She may be able to at least point you in the right direction or give you "contact info". Good luck.

Chelsea Nimar Bloodlines Folks Chelsea Nimar is a bloodline from Dallas Texas. The line was established by Nina Mcintire - The Chelsea was her daughter and the Nimar is her name abbreviated. This is line from the 70's and 80's. Nina no longer breeds. Her line is based upon the Mayfair-Barban line. Mayfair was established in 1960 in by Miss Ann Seranne. Miss Barbara Wolferman joined in 1966.. The joint venture was named Marfiar- Barban. Their kennel was located in the Pocono Mountains. One of thier foundation breeding males was homebred Ch. Mayfair Barban Loup de Mer- 3 BIS ,33 Group wins. Another Of their Ch. was Am. and Can Ch. Gaytonglen Teddy of Mayfair 4 BIS, 26 Toy group wins and as of 1975 sire of 22 Champions. In the Mid 70's early 80's this kennel was one of the prime contendors for Top Show Honors Winning kennel in the United States. If you read the Yorkshire Terriers Champions book from 1952-1980 and 1981-1986 you will see that Chelsea Nimar had an impressive show record of both their sires and dam's producing Champion get. I have two litters due this summer out of my private stock that have the chelsea Nimar as close as the second generation. This means grandpa was bred by Nina of Chelsea Nimar. My Rowdy that I offered for outside stud has Chelsea Nimar in his bloodline. Buster who I am showing also has the Chelsea Nimar. I have three gal's with the Chelsea Nimar. One of my older females of the bloodline was bred today to Rowdy. Chelsea Nimar was known for thier Bright Clear Gold. They had fantastic conformation with great movement. Their blue was a true steel blue- not too dark and not too light. Tiny faces with button noses and great ear carriage. Size was between 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 pounds. My Buster looks very much like his ancestors. That why I keep this bloodline and will not let it die. Not many puppies go BOB from the puppy class over adult dogs and we have done that in his third show. Wnalegria WNALEGRIA

lines For anyone interested in getting into showing, knowing bloodlines is a real plus. When a breeder mentions a particular dog or kennel you can put a name to a line. I love to read old pedigrees...and believe it or not there was a time you could give me a well known dogs name and I would know the pedigree at least 5 gens...can't do it as much anymore.

Chelsea Nimar/Mayfair Wnalegria is exactly right on the history and type of Chesea Nimar. Wow, what great confirmmation and faces they had. This is what lines I had along with of course Mayfair and Yorkboro. You can always correct the color of coat on a next litter, but you have to get a great body - very sound! You mess up here and it will take a long time to correct. This is just from what I have observed and from many expert advice. And these lines had great confirmation. I have seen these dogs in action and they are wonderful. What nice dead-level toplines! I would love to have a yorkie from that line again to show. They are so cute and looks to die for! Chelsea Nimar did come from the Mayfair line. Ann Seranne has a great book I totally recommend, The Joy of Breeding Your Own Show Dog." Great advice and tons of help. There are a few pedigrees and photos within the book. If you are breeding this is a must for reading. I used it all the time before when I showed and breed and even when I had a litter I had to tube feed - years ago. She also explaines about genetics - a must to know before anyone breeds. Ann Seranne also wrote for the American Kennel Gazette monthly for their department in Pure-Bred Dogs, and for NBC - Readers Digest, as well as an author of many cookbooks. She along with Barbara Wolferman has owned 62 Yorkie champions - 6 were Multiple BIS winners. I value their expertise and love they had in breeding/showing. topknot

Chelsea Nimar Yes, Chelsea Nimar was from Texas. I thought the one from Sweden with Raisen was from Sweden, but she is also from Texas.

Pedigrees Pat/Primrose, Why is it so hard to learn the pedigrees now-a-days? Is it because there are just more lines or what? I have been out of the circle for 15 years now, wow - how time flies. I use to study those pedigrees in the past too until I had them memorize and then could go to a show and without looking at the catalog or knowing the dog could guess what lines it was from and be right. What has happened over the 15 years/ What have I missed?

pedigrees I hear you...there are so many more breeders now. I remember the same small group for years. You would see a new face from time to time, but not like it is today. And..look at all the Yorkie kennels all over the world coming to NY. A number of us breeders co-own with Europeans..so now we have pedigrees with names I have never heard. Brazilian Yorkies are popular. Old pedigrees are wonderful history books aren't they?

Show Puppy If you want a show puppy I encourage you to learn about the bloodlines that your breeder has. I can tell when a person is pulling my chain- they want a puppy but have done no research. Study those pedigrees- Get the Gordon Bennet Book, the Morris E. Howard book. Gordon/ Bennet book will tell you about many of the bloolines you find in your 5th and 6th generation pedigree. Learn, ask questions, read, go to shows.Open your mind - be like a sponge absorb all that you can. Don't bluff your way around a true breeder- that is the best way to prevent yourself from ever getting a puppy from them. They know when you are puffing hot air. First dog show that I went to in 1973 I asked if I could pet a yorkie. I was told yes by the girls. I petted the dog wrong and was told how to correctly pet a show yorkie. Do you know how to pet a show yorkie? When us old timers talk about the girls do you know who we are talking about? Do some research and let me know your guess. Wnalegria
