 Show Puppy
If you want a show puppy I encourage you to learn about the bloodlines that your breeder has. I can tell when a person is pulling my chain- they want a puppy but have done no research. Study those pedigrees- Get the Gordon Bennet Book, the Morris E. Howard book. Gordon/ Bennet book will tell you about many of the bloolines you find in your 5th and 6th generation pedigree.
Learn, ask questions, read, go to shows.Open your mind - be like a sponge absorb all that you can. Don't bluff your way around a true breeder- that is the best way to prevent yourself from ever getting a puppy from them. They know when you are puffing hot air.
First dog show that I went to in 1973 I asked if I could pet a yorkie. I was told yes by the girls. I petted the dog wrong and was told how to correctly pet a show yorkie. Do you know how to pet a show yorkie? When us old timers talk about the girls do you know who we are talking about? Do some research and let me know your guess.
