| Senior Yorkie Talker | This is Suni who is Cut 'N Polished daughter and a picture of her last litter of pups. She had 4 but the little male would not stay on the pillow for the picture. She is slightly bigger than her dad at 5 1/2 pounds. One of her pups went to Canada for show with a couple originally from Romania.

| Gosh Ricki, According to AKC, he only has 2 Single Points, thats 1 point for two different shows out of all the times you showed him. |

I have been told for the UKC shows, professional handlers are not allowed.

| "assistance and encouragement shall be willingly offered to show novices" Instead of pointing out the show record, I think it would be appropriate to encourage Ricki to continue. If I am not mistaken many of the UKC shows are judged by AKC judges, not unlike the International competition and yes Lorraine you are correct you must be owner/handler in UKC.

| Hi, nice to meet you. Yes, that is right, professional handlers can only show their own dogs. There actually are not any Handlers that have their own Yorkies here in Michigan, so they are only competing against another UKC exhibitor or by taking another dog, usually a puppy, with them to make sure there is a point available. It makes it pretty easy that way compared to AKC, especially seeing there are no Majors needed. Maybe we'll see each other at the National Show coming up in PA, hope you can attend. Cynthia

| Hi, Ricki. Your babies are adorable! Like everyone else , I love Munchi's little face. Can you tell this early, if either of these little guys might have that type of face? Is there a picture of Seka posted somewhere, that I may have missed? Sheila |

| Perhaps Ricki should have pointed out UKC Champion sired in the title of her thread, but the question was asked a few posts in and politely answered, perhaps you missed that.

Yes, UKC does hire AKC Judges. The Judges are paid to put up the most correct dog, it does not mean they think the dog is worthy of a title though. Sadly if they only have two dogs to choose from and one is a puppy that won't walk they have no choice but to give the point to the dog that will move even if the dog is poor quality. Serious people are always encouraged, Cynthia

| Cynthia I am a bit confused . I pm'd you asking if Ricki's stud was from your bloodline, the reason I asked is because of your post stating you were glad that someone alerted you to this thread.... you replied "no you neuter all your pets"....next pm I asked if you considered her stud pet quality (because of your reponse), then complimented your kids and your informative website (which you did not respond)...what is different that what I have posted here, may I ask?

| Senior Yorkie Talker | For those who would like to know, I was approached many times by different professional handlers at AKC shows when we first started showing as they said they would love to handle Cut 'N Polished. My husband was having fun doing it at the time so we did not hire a professional. (He ended up hating it, which was a real loss because he was very good at it.) People were the reason. There are people out there who believe their dogs are the only (good) quality dogs out there and refer to everyone else as (back yard breeders). You have only to go to my website and look at Cut 'N Polished to see what quality he is and those that cannot see it I guess do not know the breed. It is very hard to Champion AKC without a professional handler although there are a couple people that will say "I do it all the time". They are the show people that would not help anyone starting out showing . They get to much satisfaction out of trying to make others miserable by trashing their dogs and trying to make them feel like low life if they do not have a lot of money. Some think if you are not rich you are worth nothing. We were very lucky when we started showing to meet people like Ron Neal and his wife who went out of their way to help anyone. I will help anyone that asks for advise and never turned my nose up at anyone at a show who wanted advise or wanted to talk. I always remind myself of the time that Ron and his wife took with me. I am not any better than anyone else as a person and I do not put my nose in the air and try to believe I am. Take it for what it is worth Cynthia (which I am sure it is worth nothing to you.) I am glad there are very nice down to earth people on YT. I thank those people for their comments. Other ones do not matter to me. I do not know who thought they needed to send this link to Cynthia, and I do not know why she concerns herself with what I am doing. Ricki
