Default 5.5. lb YorkiePoo For Sale Lansing Michigan

My wife and I got Buddy about 5-6 months ago, he is aprox 8 months old and has been to vet and gotten all shots including rabies shot, also have a years worth of heartguard pills and a carry crate, stainless steel dishes, other toys collar, leash brushes etc etc, he is on Innova Puppy food, does well with it so we kept him on it, he is 99.9% black a few silver whisps around rear legs, SUPER great attitude and temperment, great with kids, LOVES lap pets and attention.

We have crate trained with puppy pads he is about 85% on those, still learning, he knows some basic commands and tricks like speak, roll over, come, fetch, sit, stay, etc.. He is a JUMPER and CLIMBER! he can climb a 3 foot babygate! he can jump almost as high!

Took forever to train on the pads, and he is pretty good with other dogs and kids, SO sad to even consider having up up for sale but due to a sudden job transfer we have to move across country soon and will be in an apartment.

I will get a current pic up soon (after weekend my camera will be back) but he looks about the same as his dogster page except his legs are a few inches longer (he is still a small 5.5 dog), vet estimated 7 lbs fully grown.

Here is a link to a picture of him and a link to his dogster page is also on that page (to see more pics of him as a pup), as soon as my camera is back I will add a new photo of Buddy.

I am litereally feeling ill having to even consider this option, my wife told me yesterday and I am still numb to it.

I am home with him all day so I have more of a bond than most of my family even. I took him for a long walk today (he gets groomed tomorrow), and I just wanted to get out of the house for a bit, he loved the walk and I swear I almost cried (me the big 6'6' guy) coming back in knowing we won't be allowed to live here or keep him anymore.

Out situation is so goofy i could just spit, to keep my wifes job (her employer manages properties and builds homes) we have to move from this home development now to an apartment community and they don't accept pets.

I realize in these days and times just saying we still have a job and insurance and such are the KEY things for our family but to me Buddy IS part of the family too, so its just frustrating to be put into this position, he is so small and good I can see why places have dog rules (damages, barking or bites etc) but hes more of a lapdog fundog not a terror or harm to anyone and isn't a yapper type...

UGHHH I wish I could win the lottery and just buy my own house and not have to worry about any of this.

Got my camera back today, Buddy was supposed to go to groomer Sunday but had to cancel due to schedule conflict, he will go in mid week this week so I apologize for the scruffy look in the pics (he is still adorable)...

I'm so sorry you have to choose between job and Buddy. He is precious. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find the perfect, loving home for him.

It still doesn't feel real, like its all a dream and we don't have to move etc, worst part too is my daughter is set to start kindergarten in 2 weeks, we still don't have a move date and I doubt it will be 14 days or less, so we are at a stand still do we let her start school then pull her (not a good thing in her first year ever) or do we wait and start her once we move.

My wife is talking to her bosses today about all this (timing etc) and also trying to see if we are LOCKED into the choices that have no dogs, this property (obviously) allows dogs, but is being sold etc, but we are asking if there is ANY way to make this all work out for all of us.

Couldn't even sleep last night was up on and off all night, today I am WIPED out, I gotta take a tylenol pm or something tonight as this is just gonna drive me crazy if I cant even get some answers and get some sleep here soon.

On another note, tonight down the street they are doing this big st jude home giveaway (we bought a ticket) they are giving away a new home fully furnished! Boy would that be awesome to win and just move there! (crossing fingers saying prayers)... but can't count on that but can hope and dream right! Heck if we won that buddy could have his OWN room LOL and we would leave that company and just go find other employment locally.

Bill, I remember you. Doesn't your mother who lives in Indiana love Buddy? Can't she foster him at her house until you get back? or can't she keep him so you can still see him?

My mom wanted buddy so bad she went out and got 3 yes 3 yorkiepoos of her own (all females) LOL

She is doing well with them but they are alot for her to handle (I did ask her about possibly taking buddy even if it was only temporary), but recently she's having hard enough time (recouping from a recent torn rotor cuff surgery and physical therapy for it and a broken arm) ontop of trying to chase her pups around, Buddy isn't fixed yet either and she has all girls (altho i did offer to get him fixed if she could take him even for a while) but I understand her being overloaded with her own dogs and her current health etc.

Wife and I talked alot last night too, SERIOUSLY considering putting out resume and seeing what else may come her way locally, get a cheap place that takes pets, make things work stay here keep buddy, keep daughter in school etc, but her job is good and offers benefits insurance etc, about the only way people leave is if they die or retire (really) the only bad part is it requires us to move occasionally (this move is a fluke even the builder didnt expect) so we have to move to a new property across the usa (nv or florida) but they do provide house or apartment good insurance good pay etc etc...

Just tired of living out of boxes for 14 yrs here (I think we have moved like 5 times in 14 yrs) but she does have some great time in with them as a company etc so it is hard to try and decide what to do here, plus nothing that meets our needs locally in paper or monster.com at the moment but we are talking and looking just in case...

I'm so sorry. This totally sucks. I think I would go with my heart and see if I could find a way to stay, but i know it's hard with the job and all. Knowing me, i would sneak my pup into the new place..hehe..do you have any friends/relatives that could take him on a temporary basis?

Since buddy IS so small doesnt bark alot etc I actually thought about that, but my wife being the manager/sales rep of a property that has a no dog policy (yet secretly having one) could put us into a very sticky spot and possibly get us in jeopardy job wise.

Plus I would feel bad about not taking him on walks and such, he LOVES going for daily walks right now, so far no word from the bosses but she has talked to them this morning about all this and how frustrated we are about it, but at this time there are only 2 spots available at two places that both dont take dogs, and spots within the company like this RARELY come up, people literally die or retire before they give up free rent or free house and management position with salary benefits etc.

BTW (vainchick5) those tricks in your link are really cute I love the dance one!

I wish you all the luck in the world with this. I know it cant be easy. Too bad there wasn't someone that could foster him for you until you could get settled into a place that you can have him.

Too bad the company cant change the policy to allowing small dogs. I know alot of complexes in my area allow little dogs. 10 pounds and under. Others allow 15 and under.

Aww! He is such a cutie! I really wish I could take him or even foster him for you. I will talk to my family about it, but I am sure they will say no! I live in NE Ohio anyways! I wish you luck and you, your family, and Buddy are in my thoughts and prayers!

Wish that I could take Buddy, he is a beautiful little boy. I feel so terrible about your moving situation. Just remember that everything happens for a reason, and that everything will work out the way that it is supposed to.

Good luck to you and your family

Buddy has found a new home/owner, super nice lady about 30 mins away from us, he seemed to take to her very well too while she was here (he always favored ladies).

Sad to see him go but I could tell she was very excited about adding them to her family.
