| New York Show in Feb? I have a question for those of you that have been to New York at the show. Do most people rent cars to get from the airport and to get around or do you take cabs? Do I need to purchase any tickets in advance for any of the events? What is the attire that most people wear at the events? Where can I find a schedule of events? Thank you for any help you can give. If you have any other advice or information for those of us that have never been it would be greatly appreciated. I'm so excited, hope to meet lots of YT'ers. Pam Kech

| We took a cab from the airport and the subway for shopping. A cab is expensive but I can't imagine how much car rental and parking would be. I bought my theatre ticket in advance but the specialty tickets are purchased right before you go in. If you're showing it's business suits and sensible shows. If you're watching comfy layers and comfortable shoes, count on doing alot of standing. The hotel resturant is really good, I love their philly cheese steak sandwiches. I'll see you there Pam

| We always take a cab from the airport because renting a car and having to pay parking is very expensive. I mostly have when we travel for shopping several people with us to split taxi fare....if we are shopping where we can take the subway we do that. I however never take the subway at night so we always take a taxi. I LOVE the Tic Tock Diner for breakfast and sometimes if we don't have time to go out for lunch or dinner ect...the diner is good and so is the bar restrurant The hotel can get you broadway tickets too but we always buy them at ticket master online a month or so before we go to NY. We've already made dinner reservations to a restruant one night already. I always have hotel booked, airline tickets and restruant reservations and broadway tickets way in advance LOL... Professional wear if you are showing and casual wear if you are just watching. Bring layers and I suggest a down coat it keeps ya warmer and of course I always have my UGG boots! Looks like this trip to NY might be on the colder side the way it's going now! Hope this helps, Donna |

| Use taxis - car parking can run 40-50 per day (or more). Cabs and subways are much cheaper in the long run. As for Broadway shows, prepurchase or take your chance at what's available at the tkts booth (at 47th & 7th) that day (about half price) but you have to wait on the lines - check out TDF.org. As for a schedule - Thursday: YTCA Seminar 4pm - 7pm Crystal Ballroom New Yorker Hotel (Free, but donation appreciated) YTCA flyer: www.ytca.org/ny2010_info.pdf Friday: YTC of GNY/YTCA (back to back) sweepstakes 7:00am to noon, YTC of Greater NY seminar - 7:30pm Crystal Ballroom New Yorker hotel ($15 pre reg/20 at door), YTC of Greater NY flyer: www.ytca.org/cnewyork2010flyer.pdf Saturday : YTC of Greater NY specialty show @ New Yorker hotel Grand Ballroom 7am to 9pm (actually ends earlier) YTCA dinner New Yorker hotel @ 7pm- 10pm (Reservations required) Sunday: YTCA specialty show 8am to 8pm @New Yorker hotel Grand Ballroom Progressive Dog Club has a toy dog show all day Friday at the Pennsylvania Hotel across from the Garden - it is walking distance from the New Yorker and Yorkies above the age of 12 mos. show there in the afternoon on Friday (after sweeps @ the New Yorker). Many other toy breed specialties Sat & Sun at the Pennsylvania. Mon & Tues Westminster @ Madison Square Garden Breed judging during the day (Yorkies on Monday) Groups in the evenings (Toy group Monday Night) Hope this helps.

| Thanks everyone for the info. Not sure what I'm going to do yet but I guess I better figure it out. Thanks 3furryfaces the schedule info is great, now I know how to schedule extra curricular activities. That makes it much easier. Looks like it's going to be exciting and very cold. I will be joining Donna with those UGG boots. Can't wait to meet you all......stay warm everybody it's getting cold in Texas.

| Has anyone successfully downloaded a pdf of the premium for the YTCA specialty in NY yet? I did not receive a premium list by mail so I went to download the pdf premium list from Info Dog and it is still not active. The Greater New York link for premium is active, but nothing for YTCA. If someone has the pdf, would you mind emailing it to me?? Thanks anyone who has any info. |

| Is this a good place to go and meet breeders? I live in NY and would love to avoid shipping if possible. I am starting our search for another yorkie. I think we want a little female but we wont rule out another male... we are looking for a puppy/young adult for a pet. Does anyone ever bring puppies with them for sale? Thanks so much! |

| I have to agree with Donna that the Tic Toc is really nice for breakfast. I take the train in, which leaves me off at Madison Square Garden, so I don't need to go anywhere that's not within walking distance unless I go out to dinner - in which case I would take a cab. Then I go home and repeat the next day. I can't wait. I love the NY shows.
