Personally, I have never seen puppies for sale at these shows in NY. The logistics just do not support people bringing their puppies in hopes of selling one. I think the opportunity with the NY shows would be to meet breeders who you might potentially want to buy a puppy from and get to know them and their dogs. It would be just a starting point IMO.

Thanks for the info! If anyone is coming to the NY show and has puppies/young adult available please PM me and maybe we can chat.. I am interested in a female but will consider male. Only looking for a lovable furbaby (dont "need" show quality). She/he would be spayed and neutered and just here to love and be part of our family... no breeding for me. I can pick up in NYC to avoid shipping.

I've never seen anyone bring pups to the show. The only time I've witnessed it is when one breeder has specifically requested a dog from another breeder. The breeder/exhibitors are much to busy getting their competiting dogs ready without caring for pups.

But, it's a wonderful place for you to connect with great breeders. Spay/nuetering would be part of their contract.

Hi Donna,
I wanted to tell you I stole your name......"Brooklynn". Not for a Yorkie. For my new granddaughter that due on April 1st. Her name will be be "Halle Brooklynn Brinson" My son and his wife have been struggling to find a middle name so I called them and suggested Brooklynn. They loved it so it's official. I look forward to watching you and Radar. What time are you showing on Sunday. My flight leaves at 6:30pm so Si I should be able to watch some events on Sunday before I leave.

I'm guessing by the time the Breed starts on Sunday you'll have to be leaving for the airport. But you'll get to see him show on Saturday

You'll get to watch a good bit of the show on Sunday before leaving out

Oh no, not showing at this one. I will be observing and trying absorb all I can. I want to try learn as much as I can and just enjoy the beautiful Yorkies. It is going to be so much fun. I only wish I could have stayed longer. But I'm going to enjoy it while I'm there.

You really are going to absorb alot at these shows!! When ya coming in? Hey just being able to come to watch in NY will be an experience within itself! Next time you'll make sure you stay longer LOL...

I fly in on Thursday. I should arrive at 1:53pm. So I hope to be at the hotel shortly there after. I will definately be staying longer next year. I hope to be showing next year. I certainly should be ready by then. I HOPE!!! I heading in the right direction now!

Progressive Dog Club has a toy dog show all day Friday at the Pennsylvania Hotel across from the Garden - it is walking distance from the New Yorker and Yorkies above the age of 12 mos. show there in the afternoon on Friday (after sweeps @ the New Yorker). Many other toy breed specialties Sat & Sun at the Pennsylvania.

I'm a bit confused...

Specialty in New Yorker will be Feb 13 & 14
and Specialty in Pennsylvania going to be Feb 12? (during the Sweepstakes in New Yorker?)

Am I correct?

Yes, the Progressive show, at the Pennsylvania Hotel, is an all toy group show that starts Fri morning while the yorkie puppy sweepstakes is going on at the New Yorker. Progressive only has entries for Yorkies 12 mos and older - no puppy classes - and they usually judge the Yorkies after lunch that way anyone showing a yorkie pup at the New Yorker can show an older Yorkie at Progressive or just catch the judging after sweeps.
