New York Show in Feb?

I want to go to the specialty to enjoy. can I bring my will be 5 month old yorkie girl with me to enjoy the shows? She is a tiny and very quiet.My show days are over. I hung my hat up in 1982 when I finished my 2nd owner handler champion male/wildweir lines.

They can be pretty strict at this show about unentered dogs in the ballroom. Unless you can hide her well in a purse/bag, you might be better off not to bring her.

Especially it's a long 3 days of shows.....a lot to put your dog through.

thanks for the questions, I had all of this in mind. My yorkie's breeder had mentioned that she will be in NY for the shows so I promised to drop by. I live in NYC so it's very convenient. I'm very excited to go too.

I didn't see it. I would be very hurt to see this if it were me. I'm not above it happening to me and neither are many other women. She was wearing a jacket. So she made an effort.
I don't get into that. It's childish, women should be looking after one another. If anyone wanted to help that handler they should just TELL her. It would've been fine to tap her & let her know.

How would we feel if our coin slot was on the internet? Even if she didn't pass the mirror test prior to going in the ring, give her a break.

I'm surprised people watched her instead of the yorkies. We all have different reasons for being there.

I said give it a title so that I would've known it was gossip. It should be in a different thread. I don't understand why you're defending yourself like a humanitarian by saying you want to help the handler. So you take a photo of their butt, then post it here & then say this isn't cool? Really? This is supposed to HELP that person? I am pretty sure it was an accident. If they knew it happened, it would not be.
It isn't cool for any women to do this to another women. It's really not helping one another.

Not everyone. I was there and didn't know.

Not everyone was in back of her.

There are many people that did not know this was going on. There is friendly competition in showing in showing & then there is jealously. I'm sorry but this isn't acceptable. You know exactly who this is and why would you know who someone is and spread photos of them on the internet like this?

I have absolutely *no idea* who this person is (in the the deleted picture, which is in the deleted post), nor do I have any idea what her reputation is in the exhibitor community - nor does her reputation matter to me, whether it is good, bad, or in between - in this instance.

My opinion is that, bc the person posting the picture said "everyone knows who this is in this picture" - makes the posting of the picture entirely inappropriate and downright mean .

If an analogy is needed....this (to me) would be like if I'd attended a YT meetup last weekend, and snapped a similar picture...and posted it here - knowing full well (as well as stating the fact) that "everyone knows whose picture this is!".

If anyone disagrees w/ my opinion of this, that's your prerogative....but in my opinion - this was mean. Intentionally mean, as far as I can tell.

I don't understand that kind of intention at all.

Ann, I totally agree with you. I was at the shows and I remember the woman in that jacket, but that's all I remember about her.

I just wanted to add that there is a huge stress level at these shows for the handlers and owners who work so hard all year long and from a woman-to-woman perspective I would have completely ignored it and thought nothing of it even if I had seen it. I'm sure most of us were concentrating on the beautiful dogs, nothing more.
