| Oh it sounds like she has found a home and if not there are back ups. I am happy for the dog. If my chance you get the an opportunity to adopt her and need some help with getting to the shelter please let me know, I can help out. I wonder why the lady who originally found her surrendered her to the shelter? I am sure there is a reason someone can explain to me. Maybe I am just wrong and a little selfish but I probably would have kept her in my home and attempted to find her owner myself. If someone can explain the shelter surrender to me I would appreciate it. Also remember -- I am a first time dog owner of 6 months so I don't really understand all the proceddures other than I love my dog and want to take good care of her.

My husband and I found a dog about 6 months ago. I brought her to the shelter, as it was close, and I thought for sure someone was looking for her, and I wasn't prepared to have another dog so rushed like that. I called everyday to check on her. They gave the owners 7 days to claim her. On day 7 I was prepared to go to the shelter and adopt her - but I was told she had this wonderful family that was coming everyday to to see her in hopes of being able to adopt her as well... We all have choices to make when we find a dog, and maybe this woman felt the best first step was bringing her to the shelter. Plus they spay and get up to date with shots, etc... | |

| Oh that is a very GOOD points on taking a found dog to the shelter. 1. Make sure it is healthy and up to date on their shots and 2. Where most people would go to find a lost pet. I am so thankful for Yorkie Talk, I swear I would have never made it through the first 6 months of SophieKates life without reading and researching on this Website.

| OMG, she definetly looks like a Biewer, when she is groomed, she will be beautiful.I live way to far to even help her, but I hope someone close by will take her, I bet when they take her and see how beautiful she is after a grooming, they will want to keep her. |

| I was just on the site and did not see "Adopted." I don't think anything has been finalized yet. I do hope the woman that found her gets her. She did the right thing turning her into the shelter and waiting to see if the owner claimed her and I think that in itself speaks for the type of home she will provide. I'm also glad she will be spayed. I'm happy they have the YT address and hope that the family joins. Elaine |

| Many of the Biewers that were imported in 2005 were inserted with ISO chips. Our scanners cannot read them. I wonder if the shelter felt to see if she did have a chip in her. They would have to be informed that it is an ISO chip and would need that particular scanner. Many of us had to micro chip our Biewers so they could be scanned. |
