I just went on Craigs list in that area and a lady is posting a $500 reward for her lost female "Lucy." She has a picture posted of the dog and it resembles this dog. I emailed her all the information. Who knows?

Well this is getting more and more interesting. Please up date Obie if/when you get more information. It just seems a bit strange for someone to offer $500 for their missing dog but yet they failed to check the shelters??

Yes, that is the ad. I have not received a response to the email I sent her. I was hoping to at least have her confirm that is not her dog.

I sent her the link from YorkieTalk where the information was posted. Gheez, if it is her dog I would at least appreciate a thank you or acknowledgment that she received the information to check out the shelter.

I hope she calls you back. In the Craigslist ad it states the dog is diabetic and needs daily medical care.

There is a phone number listed in the ad if you are interested in calling.

I called her number and the 1st one was to leave a message. I would prefer speaking to a human. The 2nd number said after a few tries, cannot be completed as dialed. What do you think? Does this dog possibly look like hers? I thought I would at least give it a try. I'm not even interested in the money but thought it was sad when she said she has 3 daughters and they were upset.

Oh you are doing the right thing, I saw the part about her daughters also.

I guess I am kind of wondering what kind of person puts that ad on Craigslist but does not return calls or emails. I know if my SophieKate was misssing I would be on the phone and answering emails - but that is just me.

I guess we can be happy that the dog has been adopted by someone who by the sounds of it cares a lot about her.

You did do the right thing by trying to contact her.

I live close to this area. I am going to call in the a.m. and see if she is still available. I only have one dog now, he could use some company and my daughter wants a girl.
