| What a wonderful thing you and your hubby have done for Ella. I'm soo glad she's settling in. She's such a sweet little girl. I feel sorry for everything she's gone through, But, I truly believe your Maggie was watching and led you to Ella because she knew you two had loved and protected her for all those years!! Let us know what your Vet says and Blessings to you both for giving her a wonderful home and people who will love her... Blesssings to you all, Baron's Mom ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Its pretty constant. My husband had a submissive urinater and it was different. Ella kinda urinates and leaks at the same time and all the time. She will only walk a couple of steps then squat and she will just keep walking for several more leaking. She also poo's a little here and there. I hope the vet has an answer to all that.

| What is a sling and where can you get it. I can help with cost on some of what you need for her. It's wonderful that you opened your home and hear to her. Not many would have. By what you said it seems that she was probably used in a mill type operation. The fact she was debarked etc. tells me that she was probably in a breeding situation with lots of dogs. When she was of no more use to these animals they just tossed her on the street. I know financially it is hard for everyone right now, but I will help you $$ wise if I can with whatever she needs. I'm not always on YT so feel free to email me jrsygal37@aol.com. Elaine |

| Little Ella did great at the vet. She is blind and has an infection in her only eye. So we have antibiotic drops for that. She is deaf. This is probably the reason adjustment was so difficult in a new enviroment. The vet believes she is younger than 15 she wrote 12-15 but because of the severe dental disease and extreme neglect she appears older. She has kennel cough. She is debarked. She has some cardiac issues. She had her urine tested and shows alot of blood but she's in heat so they may not mean much. They didnt see any sign of stones in her urine but that dosent mean she dosent have them. Poor little thing had a rectal and vaginal exam everything there looked good. So the bad news is the vet believes she is either diabetic, has kidney disease and a bladder infection or all of the listed. She dosent think she is incontinant. So she gave me antibiotics which she felt she should have been taking anyway because of the eye removal. She hopes the frequent peeing is just a bladder infection, so if she dosent get better from the antibiotics then she feels little Ella may not be healthy enough to live comfortably with any of the more serious problems. ![]() I gave her a really good bath when we got home (which she absolutly hated) and fed her and she is out like a light. She hadnt had a bath and had that black oily stuff on her skin. She was really dirty. She dosent really have much body hair. Her back is so sparse. But she has normal leg hair? I forgot to ask the vet about this. So she is doing alot better in the house she has found her favorite spot. Its a coffee table shelf. Weird!!!!! But she likes it. I kept trying to get her to lay somewhere else but she just keeps going back so I put a blanket there and she always ends up there. I need to resize the pic and Ill post it. I feel alot better with her being able to be with the rest of us instead of the bathroom all time. But we are going through diapers like you cant believe. I now know what a mom feels like with newborn. They just eat, sleep and pee. And keep you up all night

| The cone comes of on the 26th. Her infected eye bothers her more than the removed one. I have been trying no cone but she tries to rub it on things. Hopefully the drops will help that.

She looks absolutely precious laying under your coffee table. At this point all that I can say is she should be treated like a queen and if she is calm and happy isn't that what all of this is about. Poor little Ella has been through another rough day in our eyes but just imagine what her life was like just a short week ago. You are doing an awesome job taking care of her so far and it sounds like she is calm and starting to realize that she is safe and loved. I am sure she didn't like her bath, she probable has never been bathed. Her health is obviously a concern but all you can do now is wait and see how she responds to the antibiotic . I'm sure her teeth are a mess and probably the cause of her kidney and cardiac problems. The lack of hair is probably a combination of poor nutrition and diabetes. Her hair will get better once both of these issues are addressed. It is sad to hear the vet says she might be too sick to have quality of life. Just continue to take one step at a time, crossing each challenge as it comes. She already looks 1,000,000 times better than she did just a few short days ago and it is all because of YOU! | |
