| I'm so glad she's doing better. It will be interesting to see what the vet says tomorrow. I'm just so glad she is at your home being taken care of the way she deserves... |

| Oh that poor, poor baby! I am in tears. She has been through so much and just deserves to live the rest of her life in a safe environment. I just want to give you a great big for everything you have done for her so far. She looks so comfortable in her little bed. Probably the only one that she has ever had in her entire life. We need to look at all of the good that has happened to her. She was taken off the streets, her injury to her eye was addressed, then she found her way on to YT and into your safe and loving home. She has a warm bed, she will be seen for medical care in the next day or so when the vet will figure out what all of her medical issues and her final days can be spent in a loving, safe environment. All of this right before Christmas. She is like a little Christmas miracle. I am wondering if you could make an e-collar out of craft foam? They sell sheet of it at either the craft store or Walmart. It is super cheap too. How much do you think she weights? It's hard to tell from the picture. Please keep us posted what happens at the vet and how she is doing. It just dawned on me that this is probably the most love and attention that she has received in her entire life. |

| I hope the vet report goes well to. I dont let her go without the head cone unless Im holding her, Im just too worried about her scratching open her incision. Her other eye bothers her also. I will ask the vet tomorrow for a soft cone. Ella is 7 lbs. I think she may be deaf also. Thank you everyone for your help. I couldnt have done it without you. I told little Ella she has a fan club and that alot of people love her and want her get better. I wanted all of you to help name her but wilst having my nervous breakdown last night my husband named her and I didnt want to tell him no. So anyway everything is going good I have figured out how to work with her better. Im new to fostering and I was so taken back by her condition and emotionally distressed that my husband had to take care of her last night. Its a little hard to look at her I feel like her life was robbed and she has so little time now try to enjoy whats left. We lost our yorkie Maggie who was 16 when she died last may and Ella makes me think about the differences in the lives they led and it breaks my heart. But I need to be positive, megansmomma's last post was so sweet and true. I have found she likes to walk and eat. So we walk on leash for about 15 min and then I let her wander around the backyard (she is less frantic outside) then I feed her soft food and then she sleeps for several hours without crying. Yay!!!!! Me and the other dogs are all much calmer when she isnt crying. She also loves to be held in a blanket. She dosent like being free in the house its too unfamiliar but she calms down now in her little bathroom. She has figured out where everything is and I think she now finds some comfort there. Here are some pics of her. The first is a close up of her "good" eye, second she is checking under the tree for her xmas present and third sleeping peacefully. Ella says thank you to everyone that helped her and her foster mommy.

| I wonder if she would like to be carried in a sling bag? Bogey loves his and it really is comforting. Since she is only 7 lbs she is just a little peanut and if she likes to be held in a blanket I just know she will love a sling. You can keep her close and comfort her but still be albe to move around.Amazon.com: pet sling carrier Bogey was a total wild man when I first brought him home but settled in like it was a nest and will stay in there forever if I let him. Your husband is wonderful to help you like he did. IMHO |

Your Maggie is smiling down at you right now. Yes, it is a shame that Ella must have had a rough life...thank God she ended up with you where she will now be loved and know not all people are mean to little pups. Thank you SO much for keeping us all updated and for the pics!!! You are truly a yorkie angel! | |

| No it is dee dee from yorkie fantasy - she does great work and i just bought an ecollar just in case as a back up so thought this might help this little one -- what is she eating as maybe her eyes have allergies and the rubbing has lead to trauma maybe -- i would give her fish and sweet potato by natural balance as that is a good non-allergic food just to be safe. |
