| Auctioned??? OMG that sounds awful. Heaven only knows where they will end up. I will pray that they find loving homes. |

| I think it is probably just that so many people are interested that instead of having to go through all the applications and actually try to find the best home for them they figure this will be easier and make them some much needed money. |

I have never seen a shelter have that many beautiful puppies. Take a good look at the pictures. Some are done with pretty backgrounds...then, the others look like they were taken in a shelter. Something just does not seem right ... might be my paranoia. Who knows. | |

| It is a shelter, it is a county facility. I went there myself but I was told something different by the Administration office and found out that they would be auctioned off when I showed up. I started a thread on this a while ago if anyone is interested. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...ff-yorkie.html

| It is a legit shelter and they are doing a silent auction where the puppies will go home to the highest bidder. I visited the site in person and as I said in my thread, it is completely legal even though some of the shelter staff don't exactly agree with it. They are there to follow orders.

| She is still there I am trying to get her, this shelter is ridiculous. They want $91 for her. I have been speaking with the shelter for 2 days they wont budge on the adoption fee until she gets red listed. The guy I spoke with today was a real piece of work. YTNR is willing to take her and give her a good home for the remainder of her life but we need a break on the price she is going to require more medical than a younger dog and is really not adoptable. He said they dont give rescue organizations a break. So I am still trying. I have one more contact to try and if it dosent work when they red list her we will go get her. Its crappy but YTNR relies on donations and everyone is suffering financially and this stupid shelter unwilling to give a break to a 15 year old one eyed dog thinking maybe someone will come in and pay full price, instead of being in a warm comfortable home the shelter wants to hold out for $91. Im so frustrated.
