| PetEdge I have ordered from PetEdge several times. I've had good service before. I placed an order a couple weeks ago and they sent me an e-mail saying one of the things I ordered was on backorder till the 16th. That was fine. Yesterday they contacted me again saying they wouldn't be sending the backorder out because it doesn't meet their $15.00 backorder total!! It was $12 something. I couldn't believe it! How stupid. I wrote back to them telling them what I thought of their policy. I have ordered so much from them in the past. Like it was my fault the item was on backorder? They said I could order it with my "next" order. I told them if they wouldn't ship it, there wouldn't be a "next order." I'm going to take my $5.00 Petsmart coupon and buy the item there instead. Does anyone else think this is really bad customer service or is it just me? It just makes me mad cause I've ordered so much from them and because of $2 something difference - they do this. UGH! omega |

| When did this come about? Long ago when the Earth was still green, I ordered a large amount of stuff from them for a new puppy I got. {God Bless ya Nikka} and the collar I wanted was backordered. and they shipped it. and I did the whole order as a COD. cost more for them to ship that collar. but they had good customer service than. now. well. Hope it all works out and I'm sorry for what happened. i won't shop there now. may I'm strange but if I don't get a good feeling about the store or person. I COD. I don't get my stuff you don't get your money. tyty |

| I've posted before about my bad experiences with petedge and got thrown balls of fire for it...........lol Guess it's not a wise thing to do when others are having such excellent experiences. Good for you for writing to them and taking your business elsewhere. Jess

| I had the same thing happen. I called them and we worked it out and they didn't charge me the $6.95 for the second order. I'm not sure exacrly what they mean about the back order etc. sounds like they just won't ship it automaticallfy, you have to reorder. |

| Wow! I have ordered from PetEdge numerous times and have never had a problem. I know some people have said their shipping is outrageous, but mine have never been. And I had some shampoo (yes, shampoo) that was backordered (on my last purchase), but I guess they got it in before my box shipped out because it was in my box - and my box came within a week of me ordering it. I would think that they could have worked that out for you! You would think anyway!!?? Sorry for your bad experience. I am getting ready to place another order, but like anywhere I place an order, I am also alittle leary on placing it....you just never know!

| I'm sorry you all are having difficulty with Petedge. It's a wonderful company. I've been buying thru them for many years and have never had one problem. If you are ordering on line, there is a list that asks how you want it shipped. Pay close attention to it or you will get the order mailed different than what you want. Maybe it would be easier to call the toll free number to order that way. Anytime I have ordered on line or by phone and they were temporarly out of something, they told me right up front or on line it would say out of stock. Don't give up on a good thing. They are cheaper than anyplace else. |

| I am so sorry you have had bad experiences with PetEdge. I buy alot from them but the Warehouse is just down the street from me, so I call in my order and go pick it up, so I never have it shipped. The employees are very friendly and helpful in the Reno Store and the prices are great. Where else do you shop?

| I don't like petedge either..one time I bought a shirt and it was way to big to be a medium so I asked to return it and they said I had to pay for shipping??? ME?? they're the ones who gave me the wrong size! there was no way that was a medium. You shouldn't have to order again. they should send it its not your fault they had a backorder. |

| I have had many great experiences but as with any company, human error is going to happen...as far as that policy with backorders...that does seem not so great for the consumer, not anyone's fault there is a shortage!! |

| Only twice in over ten years have I received the wrong color and wrong size. When I called the company they said they would mail the correct item right away and to just donate what was previously sent. If you do have to return something in exchange for something different, you have to send a form in with it. This form is attached to the back of the catalog, or you can copy it on line. |

| I just did an order with them and I also noticed that a lot of things were on backorder and the dates kept changing. I waited to place the order until the one item I really needed was in stock, and sure enough everything else shipped and it was backordered. I called and explained that that one item was the whole reason I ordered $50 worth of other stuff. So they are going to ship it to me. Their customer service has always been nice to me, even though I'm not a retail customer. I didn't know what size shirt to order so I called and they actually gave me the measurements of the actual shirt. I'm not a fan of their sizes since Loki is now in between a Small and Medium and even though he is a size 13in, which is technically their size 12-16 inch, those clothes are WAY too big for him. Anyway, I just ordered him a way-too-big medium, but since it was $4 I will probably just give it away. Since their prices are so low I don't really mind their shipping policies. I'd be pissed as a retailer to pay more because people were returning one and two things. If you want to do that, then don't buy from PetEdge. People sell the Casual Canine stuff on ebay or wherever. We're lucky they let us order at all. Most places only let you order wholesale if you have a business license. I guess my point is that I feel your pain, but maybe try calling and asking again? I promise the 3 or 4 people I have spoken to there were all SUPER nice. Next time I think I will call in my order and ask them to hold it until the stuff is ALL in stock.

| "Items will be backordered if the value of an item is over $15.00 and we expect them to arrive shortly. If we are out of stock and the item is valued at less than $15.00 the item will be cancelled from the order. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you will order this item again with your next purchase." That is the reply I got today. Ironically, I received my order from them today, too. If they had held the order about 2 days, the whole order would have shipped. My order came to over $80.00! You think they would be interested in keeping return customers, you know? Oh well, it will probably save me money in the long run cause I won't buy so much stuff!!! omega |
