Anyone have a pattern for a harness/vest? I tried this one..

I adapted a 3-6 months outfit:

If you sew... check out WalMart kids and babies clothing sections... esp end of season you can get NFL Logo items cheap! I picked up 4 Ravens cheerleaders outfits last year at $5 each, and altered them to fit my 4 furbutts.

Hint: cut the skirt on each side seam, and cut across the back waist to remove it. (The logo is on the front for kids, but put it on backwards for a dog. You want to leave the skirt on on the side that has the logo on the bodice.) Cut a bit off the top to make the hems offset : will look like a ruffle. Run a basting stitch across the top, squish it like a curtain on a curtain rod to distribute the fullness till you get it to match the size of the remaining skirt, and sew it on at the waist on top of the remaing skirt. Add bows or sparkly things to your heart's content! Voila! Finish off any cut sides with a small hem to prevent unraveling. I did one by hand in a couple of hours.

OMGosh! How creative you are! I'll have to make a run to Walmart ever so often to see if they have the Cowboys! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you both! It's been a while since I've dressed any little girls, or bought childrens' clothes, lol. Kohl's has prettier dresses than WalMart, and I found one that had a matching dress for the child's babydoll! Well, the doll dress fits my smallest girl, (I do have to widen the armholes) and cut the front of the skirt off... who knew? (Probably everyone except me, lol) I bought the dress in the largest size I could find, so I'll have enough material to make the other two dresses, which may get a bit more involved, but it came with all the trim and buttons so I figure I'm saving some money and time by doing it this way. I paid $8.00 for the dress (included the babydoll dress).
