Sooo cute...I bet they're really easy to make too. Have you ever tried snaps instead of velcro? Maybe a row of 3 snaps (strong holding ones) instead of velcro?...do you think that would work?

I did snaps on a few of the first harnesses I made. If you have a puller they can pull loose. It is also a lot cheaper to buy the 5 yrd rolls of heavy duty velcro from ebay vs the small pkgs that I can get here locally and it is really strong and it is hard to find (for me anyways) the sew on velcro as all I have in my town is walmart and they sell the stick on velcro which is useless.

...that's what I thought. I've seen (on GW Little I think) where they have harness dresses that have a harness inside of the dress. Looks like a great idea! Instead of sewing velcro around the front chest and waist, there's narrow harness strapping running through there and it comes out where the "D" ring is. That way the dress is slipped on over their head and legs and the leash is attached to the harness strapping instead of the dress...I might try that design and see how it goes. ???

I use FabricFusion iron on velcro strips, I got a box on clearance years ago with 15 yards of the stuff.. I love it, works for so many things and has never come loose for me and has a really strong hold. Snaps seem like they would take longer to put on and not be as adjustable in size, not to mention come free with pulling.. if you get a stronger snap it may be harder to get on and off too..

Turned out kinda cute if I do say so myself

Love those! Great idea too, I think my local thrift store has bandana's by the bag full for a buck..

I was going to do it for you until you said cowboys..... Lol

I was born and raised in fort worth, tx and can't stand the cowboys!!!

My son told me today I need to make and sell puppy clothes, but I'd have no idea how to get started.

The dress and vest I made for Allie and Noah have snaps. I happened to have them already and didn't want to run to the store again, so it's what I used. I like the snaps, but a pain in the butt to sew each individual snap peice on. Took me longer for that as it did to make a pattern, cut out and sew the actual dress and vest.

You can do it!! I have faith in you- and you can always pm if you need... I'll try to help.

One of the members befriended me when I first came and Noah had parvo and I was scared to death of losing him, I'd love to pay it forward so to speak.

That's downright sacrilegious!! How can you grow up in the area and not like the Cowboys?! I have to say that they sure have their off seasons, but when they are on, they are right on! Listen to me, I don't even watch them. I just have to endure the pain when the dh watches all season long! I just want her to look cute on those days!

A Sooner fan, in Texas? Isn't that dangerous!? Lol. I am a huge Razorback fan here. But I do cheer on the Sooners for my friend! We don't play them in football so I see it as ok to do! Lol.

The quote in the post above looks like I am the Oklahoma Sooners fan. NOT ME! I'm a Dallas fan!!
