| I'm bow challenged. Every time I've put a bow in Liz's hair, I've either got it lopsided, too far back or too far forward. Then I start messing with it to get it right until Liz has a fit. So she goes bowless.

| No topknot for Hawkeye either. I managed to try it for about 2 days and he hated it! He also has short hair and an undocked tail. Guess we're doing everything opposite of a "typical yorkie" look, but he has such a sturdy, cute little body that this style suits him. My family consists of a husband, 3 boys, and an aging tomboy mom (that would be me) so our non-frou frou yorkie boy fits right in! |

| Sophie Kate is also a no bow kinda gal. She can get a bow out of her hair in 13.5 seconds (okay that is an estimate). If I happen to get a bow in her hair and she leaves it alone the cat will yank it out - I gave up. Sophie Kate will also not wear a dress, she will stand in one place like she is frozen. I can get her to move in a shirt or a sweater but no dresses. I guess my girl is a tomboy.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Morgan is also a no bow kind of girl. sometimes i'll do pigtails when her hair is long enough but that's not often. I keep her cut pretty short most of the time. its just easier on her and me. oh and when you go to the groomer, do not ask for a clean face. clean face is a term used for a shaved face like a poodle and i'm guessing you don't want that. LOL if you want the short head like mine, then ask for a short round head. if you want to let the hair grow out for a top knot again then ask that she not cut it too short but to just neaten and fix what you did.

| no bows or top knots here. Too much wrestling going on, those bows would be toast in 5 seconds flat, lol. I plan to keep both of mine in puppy cuts, letting only their ears grow long (they are both floppy eared). Easier to manage, cooler for them in the summer, and easier for me to brush out. Mya has yet to have her first grooming session, her breeder tried and couldn't get much off - hoping our normal groomer is a bit more persistent as Mya is not cooperative with brushing at all and needs a haircut asap! lol

To OP: I had Farrah's first grooming and wasn't into the bows at the time so had the top of her head trimmed short. (See avatar pic) She is now 7 months old and wears dresses okay and now I'm ready to try bows again. But her hair has not grown in enough yet. I will say that before I had her groomed I would try to put a band in and her hair would just kind of mat up around it. Not pretty. Any clip bow I tried she would wrestle out. Good luck.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Bayleigh is my Tom boy. She will wear clothes (and prefers tees) but she wouldnt have a bow. So, this is how I have her hair, it kind of naturally parts on top so it is out of her eyes. We keep it short. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=88127 My Prissy girl Jazzy loves to wear bows! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=88124 |

| Well, I have a boy, Charlie, (though I know people put bows on their boys.) No bows here. He's a very low-maintenance little guy. No clothes either. Maybe I'll change with the clothes in the winter. But he's a fairly big, hearty guy so I don't think a sweater or anything would be necessary, unless he was going outside in winter. My other dog was a tiny poodle. I never used bows on her, though when she'd come back from the groomer, they'd put a bow on her. (The people that owned her before us were really into dressing her up. Bows, clothes, professional pictures. I remember before we got her the woman gave me a picture to show the kids. It was a professionally done photo. Cinni had bows, was sitting on a very posh looking pillow with a dozen roses in front of her, and she had a ton of necklaces on. My youngest, Sean, was about 6 at the time. I showed him the picture and said, "Sweetie, how would you like Cinni to be our new doggie?" And looked at the picture and said, "Mummy, we can't have a dog that wears jewelry!!!!) |

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...?dl=1265933989Here is a pic of Lola, I have her bangs cut but the hair on top of her head is long enough for bows which I use for weekend out on the town.

| I have a baby boy and I wish sooo much I could put bows on him but I also don't want to insult his manhood hehe Who knows, when he's older he may get a few blue bows stuck in there from time to time! |

I am SO glad that you told me that!! LOL...Poodles are great, but not for me, so I would be a little sad to have a yorkie that resembles a poodle..lol..Thanks again! I plan on hopefully taking a photo with me when I go, I have been researching and although everyones babies are just too adorable, the closest groom that I could find that I think would work for Roxie is Laylas look. I have already contacted Laylas mom and she said I could steal her photo to take with me to the groomer, I just couldnt decide on a bow or no bow..lol...

Very cute. Your Bayleigh actually resembles Roxie at the moment. I think this is a good look for her as well!
