To OP: I had Farrah's first grooming and wasn't into the bows at the time so had the top of her head trimmed short. (See avatar pic) She is now 7 months old and wears dresses okay and now I'm ready to try bows again. But her hair has not grown in enough yet.
I will say that before I had her groomed I would try to put a band in and her hair would just kind of mat up around it. Not pretty. Any clip bow I tried she would wrestle out.
