| I had no idea such devices existed!! Why don't they have an automatic shutoff that will not allow them to operate more than 5 minutes? Groomers should be licensed and inspected like everyone else who provides health type services to the public!! If an automatic shutoff exists and it is not functioning when the inspector arrives, the person should be fined. I work in the petrochemical industry and everything has to be idiot proof, our furbabies are precious and we need to push for safety for them, too!!!! This is outrageous!!!!! We all have lapses, there should be safeguards in place!!! |

| I can't believe this happened to those poor babies! Chewy has been to a groomer twice and is absolutely horrible for her. But I stay there with him. (I had to help hold him) I will never leave him with a groomer and she told me it is good to always stay because she has been grooming for 17 years and she has seen dogs fall and hit the floor.. when the owners come they are not told about the fall!!! Chewy puts up a huge fight and is terrified...I want to figure out how to groom him but right now he just is fighting it. His bangs were in his eyes and his butt needed attention! I couldn't even trim him while he was sleeping cause he would wake right up!!! He gets bare bones minimum at the groomers and I do what I can at home.... My groomer is good with him and doesn't get mad or yell... she is matter of fact and talking calm to him... I hope it gets better though. I bath him at home and use a small heater to blow him dry. I sit it a few feet away from us and he sits on my lap to dry...

| AND THIS IS WHY I GROOM MY OWN! My babies get a bay every 10 days at home and I let them run dry. The poor owners, can you imagin how they feel losing 2 family members. I would be devistated if I lost both of mine at any time let alone the same time. |

| Once again something tragic has happened to innocent animals. I call this murder - 2nd degree. I still believe and always will that people like this should be put in jail and face the same consequences as with a human. This B - T - H should hang. God Bless those babies. This just makes me sick!

| I live in CT and have changed groomers 3 times since I moved here.........I will just say that I have been very unhappy with some of the ones I have allowed to groom my baby.

I am glad you have never had any problems. 2 of the places won't allow the owner to be present........One groomer flat out shaved my dog even though I have NEVER gotten that done. I am there faithfully every 4 weeks for a cut and she always gets the bikini cut with pom poms......she's a toy poodle. Anyhow, when I saw my dog I burst into anger and tears........the groomer said that my dog wasn't behaving well so she couldn't clip her pom poms so went ahead and shaved them off Needless to say, I never went back! The place before that never did her ears or teeth! Though they charged me full price and swore they did Before that I took her to Petco.........and she came back with fleas!!! Now, she goes to a little old ladies home where she does grooming per diem.

| I groom my own, because I use to be a past hair stylist. I like the long look on our Yorkie but she is still a puppy. Luckily she has a nice coat and is staying the black and brown color. I like to take the time to bath her and blow her dry because this gives us time together. We don't do the ribbons and stuff because she is such a tomboy. I should change her name to "Mo" instead of Ms. Molly. I'm looking forward to finding her an outfit since Winter is on it's way. As for the dryers I would not want mine in a dryer. Just being under a hair dryer in a shop is not even that comfortable. I would ask them to be blow dried instead. This makes them more fluffy and it moves there hair around which is good for the hair folicles in growing more hair. My heart goes out for the tragedy that has happened. It must have been confusing for those little ones that suffered and their family.
