Innova Evo has a protein content of 42% and 22% fat. I bought a bag of Innova Evo and gave a small amount to Rowdy and he got very sick. I had noted the protein content was very high, but the food was highly recommended by the natural food pet store and it is highly recommended here too, so I thought it would be OK. Anyway, I did not feed him anymore but have since wondered about that high protein content. If anyone with more knowledge on this would respond, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

| Cesar's is all by products. There is not one wholesome nutrient in it. Read the label. I have posted about this before and truly believe that we should only be feeding healthy, natural food. I understand that our yorkies all love it, but it is not a food that they should even be allowed to sell! Please read up on by products if you have not already. I promise that you won't feed it to your babies. I feed Innova or Canidae and it is a huge hit. |

Have you seen first hand a Yorkie in poor condition due to a Royal Canin and Lil Ceasar diet? and i don't appreciate you telling me that my Yorkie's will have problems in the future due to their diet of Royal Canin and Lil Ceasar's because i think it's a load of BS and a lot of people on YT feed their Yorkie's the same diet I do and probably don't appreciate your misinformation.

When Bella hits a year old i'll just have adult Royal Canin and stop buying the puppy one. But i've never had a problem with them eating because they have always loved their diet.

The ingredients in Ceasars are atrocious. It's not "misinformation". It's fact. Check out the label.

OH MY GOSH, I totally agree. I hate ceasers and think it's a shame people actually feed it to their dogs. The ingrediants are horrible!!! I feel bad for the dogs who actually eat it. If only they knew what they were eating, they'd probably yell at us for giving it to them.

Do you know for a fact that it's due strictly to the feeding of royal canin? or are you just making a generalization about the combo of royal canin with lil ceasers? Did you stop to think that maybe it could be strictly due to the lil ceasers? My dog loves royal canin!!! Had him on Nutro Ultra, then Nutro Lamb and Rice puppy. I thought it was drying out his skin, so I stopped feeding him treats with lots of sugar, and changed him over to Royal Canin Puppy 33. Since then His skin is a lot better, and his coat is shinier. And for wet food, I feed him Nutro Max Puppy.

| Royal Canin is WAAAY better than Ceasars!! but it still has too much protein for Yorkie bodies and too much fat!! this of course, is only my opinion based on the research I've done. It could be due to the Ceasar's only, but that's the only food I'm really talking about here. I'm sure a diff wet food w/ RC would be a much better alternative. I think people only buy Ceasar's because it's easily accessed at grocery stores and it's cheap.

| I couldn't agree with you more, on the whole grocery store thing. I just wish people were more educated on dog foods and by-products. if they were we'd all have a lot healthier dogs.

| anyone only give dry? Quote:
I only bought it because the people we got her from said to giver her Eukanuba dry - 2o pellets 3-4 times a day and 1 1/4 of Cesars 3-4 times a day. I thought i was doing good by keeping her on this same diet and not changing it. But I asked the vet yesterday and when she said "McDonalds" I almost died- because i am NOT a fast food person. Buti do aggree, i found it pretty convenient that i could buy it at the grocery store- one stop shopping! But she has been doing great as of yesterday just on Eukanuba dry. And we give her peices of treats too. Anyone else only give dry??

| I only give dry to moose with an occasional (holidays and birthdays) Merick wingaling or pot pie. I want her to have better teeth than lil bear has. I'm not thrilled with lil bear eating half a ceaser's for dinner but it is the only thing she will eat along with her dry food. Which concerns me too. I am looking to change over moose to another dry food and I looked at lil bears since it is prescription RC Renal LP (needs the very low protein for her liver shunt) and I was not at all happy with the ingredient list but can't find a good low protein food. I was looking at Canadie(sp) Platnium(sp) for moose since it has 18.5% protein cause I am worried that 24% might be too much and I want something with glucosime and condritin in it which the regular canadie does not contain but I can't switch lil bear to that cause the protein is too high. What is considered too high protein for a yorkie?
