If you can find hundreds more people that have proven their dogs died from the changes made in RC (which was a shift in % of nutrient ingredients and not the introduction of totally DIFFERENT ingredients) you will see a class action law suit. I am sorry about the loss of your dog and the illness of the others....did you have an autopsy done at a vet school ? That would be a substantial first step in PROVING it was the change in the dog food that caused the issue. | |

Chickens raised locally, free range, eating organic greens & live bugs are probably the only & best chicken (& eggs) we can eat...

| ![]() I really doubt a dog will die from a change of food. I know your suppose to mix it so they get use to it and its easier on there stomach.. But there many ppl who don't. They die from bad dog food. I come from a time where there wasn't many choices of food and ppl feed they dogs many different thing....They may just go to the bathroom alot. jmo |

YT Addict | ![]() I am in the process of switching from Royal Canin. I was never really too thrilled to have Tink on it when I read "Pork By Products, corn grits, corn meal, gelatin by-products". The most recent shipment of 24 cans I received is more mousse-like in texture, and Tink will not touch it. I tried mixing it with chicken, and she will act like I gave her some bad medicine and spit it out. It's just very strange, since she used to LOVE LOVE LOVE this food. She will pick at the kibble, but not even touch the canned. I am in the process of switching her to Hill's ID, and she really enjoys and the ingredients look much better. I am really concerned about this dog food, it seems like they change their formula without letting anyone know. And this is PRESCRIPTION food, meaning the dogs on it have some form of medical condition... disappointed. |

None of my dogs require Rx food, thank goodness, but I have them on the RC puppy kibble, some on puppy mousse, some on puppy canned, some seniors on mature, the rest on mini adult....all loving it all, all doing great on all the formulas. Find something your dog will eat and tolerate, and go for it! Not all dogs like any/all brands of dog food, and when you have a baby that needs to be on Rx diets, it is totally different formula, ingredients, texture, etc, and it is understandable that your dog may not appreciate the changes that will be a part of a Rx diet food. Just need to find one that your dog will eat! RC is fine, especially the Rx diet formulas.....most dogs like the formulas, and they have been very beneficial to many, many pets. They are all individuals and some do not eat it.....be it a dislike for the change in texture, or formula taste because it is a Rx diet, it certainly isnt because the change is harmful or toxic to your dog! Dont worry about the quality of RC....it is all very well researched, formulated, tested, quality controlled and quality managed! Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 02-27-2015 at 10:56 AM. |

| ![]() I know ppl who liked RC. But I never liked the bi products or corn in there either. IMO kibble isn't the best but if I'm going to feed it I need to see the whole meats or meal and no grains. And be able to pronounce most of the words. JMO |
