				   | I have read several articles that stated that both were really good for dogs, but that quinoa should be used in moderation because of the oxalates. There is a pet boutique here that sometimes sells quinoa based dog treats. Just curious.

				   | I think the quinoa would be like any grain.. better than most! I am agree with you research keep it in moderation. The kelp I would be careful of because of the sodium. I do know it should not be feed to dogs who have any kidney issues. I am not a vet nutritionist so I am just saying what I have read when doing research for my dogs. good luck

				   | Have "you" used both for you, or have you given them to your fur baby? I eat quinoa on almost a daily basis, and love it. I sometimes add kelp to the quinoa (for me and hubby), but only a little because of the natural sodium and iodine content. I get my kelp strips from Asian markets...not the powered kind.

				   | Those nori sesame-garlic chips sound delicious! I won't use any of the sea vegetables for Ian's treats because of the sodium and iodine levels, but I do plan to try the chips...for me! Thanks! :-) How do you prepare it? Nori nutrition: It's got the highest protein compared to the rest of the seaweeds. Nori is rich in calcium, iodine, iron, phosphorous, potassium, manganese, porphyran, copper, zinc and Vitamins A, B, C, E and K.

				   | Tri-color and red Quinoa is a staple in my home and my fur girls get it every day mixed with med. rare steak, a steamed green vegetable and carrots. I cook the Quinoa in beef broth with about 4 whole garlic. After it's cooked, I toss the garlic out. The oils from garlic help with digestion, blood pressure and keeps fleas off. The kelp powder is mixed with four other ingredients and is called Healthy Powder. I put a teaspoon over their food twice daily.
