Both. I don't eat any grains or grain-like foods including quinoa. As for the dogs, my dog Daisy had quinoa as a young dog and it made her ill. As for kelp, it's not necessary for my or my dogs' diets. I do occasionally make sesame-garlic Nori chips but otherwise obtain my iodine from other foods like meat.
