				   | So, I'm starting to think Mandie might have a UTI. The past few days, I've noticed/caught her peeing in really odd places. Just out of the norm. At first, I got on to her but then this evening I decided to take the advice I would give anyone else...sudden peeing changes? Rule out UTI or any physical problem first. Of course, this dawns on me on a Saturday evening. I'll take her in first thing Monday morning. Anyway, I know cranberry juice helps UTIs in people. Does it do the same in Yorkies? Just wondering if anyone knows if it would help and/or if Yorkies can drink cranberry juice? TIA

				   | They can, but it wont do anything but acidify her bladder. If she has a UTI, she needs an antibiotic. Be careful with cranberry juice or other acidifying agents because they can lead to the formation of calcium oxalate crystals/stones which have to be removed via surgery.

				   | Well, I definitely don't want to do anything that could cause harm. I'll keep the cranberry juice to myself then. Good to know. Thank you, Cathy!

				   | Probably, but you might need to plan on being here for a week or so. You will NOT like what you find.

				   | I agree. Also, when long term pH regulation is needed this is not used because it does not lower final urine product pH for long periods making it a waste generally.
