| ![]() I'd go with effectiveness and safety over an all in one. I use Interceptor, Sentinel, and Heartgard depending on pup with rare Frontline use. Tge closest to an all in one we use is sentinel. Revolution I'd consider for cats or as one of the lat resorts for dogs. I don't trust it.

| ![]() Hi guys. So Revolution does all in one including heartworm? Do you guys like it? I use Heartgard for heartworm and advantix for fleas right now, but an all in one sounds pretty good Does revolution work well on fleas/ticks or is it better to continue using a Heartworm and separate flea medication? Also one last thing, where do you purchase for the best deal? ![]() |

| ![]() Used Revolution for years, worked great....had one dog that had a localized irritation to it, but after many years and many dogs, that is the only adverse reaction.....My vet stresses you MUST part the hair/fur and get it directly onto the skin...she said too many people are in a rush, dont get the dose directly on the skin, and in some cases, dont even make sure they get it ALL dispensed out of the little vial. But that goes for ALL topicals...correct administering, and the effectiveness is good. NO heart worm preventative is 100%....just like vaccines, they can STILL become infected or sick with a particular disease regardless of being treated...it is just not as likely to happen. | ![]() Am I missing something here? I thought Interceptor wasn't on the market right now. Max is due for a dose of heartworm preventative and his vet said they still can't get Interceptor. |

I just switched to Heartgard. I have two interceptor pills left and I'm tired of waiting around for interceptor to come back. I think it's going to be a while before we see interceptor around again.

| ![]() Out here in Ca we don't have to worry about heart worm right? it seems like only in parts where there is lots of humidity and mosquitoes like in the southeast, texas , etc?? |

| ![]() Found this on another forum. I'm not saying he's right...just some of it could be true Yep. One of the biggest loads of crap ever sold by the big Pharma. Google it. Even in warm areas that the heartworms aren't killed by cooler temps, they are extremely rare and take 3 months to develop. I wouldn't feed my dogs unnecessary pesticides based on big corporation's profit requirements. Quarterly at most in high risk geography. Most of the country shouldn't be treating their dogs at all. A multi billion dollar bunch of crap sold to the American people. |

| ![]() I use Iverheart for my Lab. For the yorkie Ive heard theyre picky so I got some heartguard. Joey seems to like that better than me forcing down a tablet. But for both I use comfortis for fleas. The lab loves to swim so topical wont work, and the yorkie goes and hangs with the stray cats so I want flea coverage from the inside out! |

Sorry but I 100% believe this person is wrong and I think your crazy if your willing to risk it because the treatment for heartworm can kill your dog.
