| ![]() I do want to add, my dads dogs have NEVER been on heartworm preventatives in their life and one is going on 6, the other going on 5... whatever that's worth. They spend a lot of time in the backyard too and outside. However it's not a risk I'm willing to take. I'm very lax on the flea/tick meds, I don't do this EVERY 30 days or anything by any means (more like once every 3-4 months)... fleas and ticks are something very manageable and I give him a dose if I see more ticks/fleas, etc. I check him over every night, he gets a lyme/heartworm test every year, etc. But to me, heartworms is something you can't physically SEE and I don't want the risk of something developing inside him for something so preventable.

| ![]() I am thinking of switching to Revolution because we still can not get interceptor around here. Cruz is currently on heartgard. Do you apply Revolution just like Frontline? Same protocal, no bathing about 2 days after? Also, I read on here that some of you mentioning you do use heartgard on your babies because their epiletic. Is this something you vet told you? I posted a thread on here about this (cruz started having seizures after we switched). Though we are still in the process of figuring everything out this really concerns me. I WISH interceptor would come back!! |
