| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so sorry for your loss. Did you contact the breeder? When Dixie passed after I had her for 5 weeks my breeder was very responsive and gave me another baby to love. I know that is not on your mind right now.

| I am so sorry for your loss. I have been in your situation, we lost a tiny yorkie puppy (about 13-14oz.). If you're going to go after the breeder for a refund you really need to have a necropsy (like an autopsy) done. This is how we found out our puppy had renal failure (kidney failure). It sounds like you did EVERYTHING right and gave this baby the best chance at life! But sometimes there is absolutely nothing that can be done. I feel so horrible for you and know you are going through hell right now. But please think about getting a necropsy done, it sounds like your baby had some real health problems. Universities with vet programs typically do necropsies, mine was about $350. Your vet can help you with all the arrangements if you decide you want to do this. Please remember you did everything right and gave this little girl everything she needed. Sometimes these little ones have problems that cannot be fixed, no matter how hard you (or any number of vets) try. The breeder may try to blame you, but this is why a necropsy is so important. Don't let anyone convince you that her death was your fault (that is what they tried to do to me). I am so very sorry for your loss. |

| I agree this is a very good idea, also have you talked to the vet to determine what may have caused her death. I am not sure what kind of guarantee you had from the breeder, but it is something to look into especially since she was doing so much better
