| I think you are doing wonderful with her...do not expect much from her..her stomach is about the size of a green olive and it is not possible to eat much...at once..she needs to eat something every 3 to 4 hrs..just like an 8 oz much younger pup.....you must feed her during the night also. I would make sure she gets lots of rest, just like a much younger puppy...she may be 9 weeks on the calendar, but she has the resources of a 3 to 4 week old. I would have the vet check her left eye for infection..I would also find another vet who deals in toys dogs..and extreme tinies..best wishes Last edited by YorkieRose; 08-07-2008 at 06:44 AM. |

| Ok I fixed the chicken and she did not like it! But then I put her sweet potatoes in and she ate a couple of spoon fulls and even ate some out of her dish!!!!! How exciting she is growing up . Ya right!!!! Well she does not seem to like the texture of the chicken! But in the sweet potatoes she did eat it and I am happy about that....The vet did say that she may have an infection in that eye but I was already putting ointment in it and he said just to watch it and use as necessary! But I have not had to use it again since she starting eating the veggies. I hope good things continue and if you have anymore suggestion please let me know.....Thanks so very much for all your help! | You can also try some scrambled eggs. That will get some protein in her and most dogs love them. Good job getting her this far

| Aww, she is soooo adorable, what a sweet face!! But my goodness is she tiny!! That is great news to hear that she is eating better now!! I am so glad she has you constantly by her side, otherwise she wouldn't have made it. I can't believe her breeder would let her go that young and tiny, I could never in a million years do that. Keep up the good work and please keep us updated!!

| Honest kitchen makes a dehydrated raw food that you blend with water. There are very few small pieces in it and it is a wonderful food. My dogs love it. You can go to their website, just google honest kitchen, and ask for a few samples. They will send you some. They do even have a vegetarian blend. She is just a little bit. Very adorable and very lucky to have you as an owner. She would have never left my house at that age or size. I cannot believe a breeder let her go and for what you state was a mortgage on a house. Shame on her! Thank god she got someone so responsible and home with her 24/7. Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job with her! |

| I am just reading this.. OMG what a tiny little doll. She is so lucky to have you as a mom. Just keep doing what you are doing and feed her often. As long as she is gaining consistantly, she should be fine.

She went to bed with me last night and played I had my husband put her in her bed and checked on her at 4:00 am and doing great! I woke up at 8:00 and she is DEAD. I have no idea what happened but she looks like she has a swollen spot on her bottom! She has been peeing and pooing fine not a problem! I AM SO VERY SAD SHE WAS MY BABY! I have no idea what to do with my time she went everywhere with me and I miss her already! I have no money to get myself another just to take my time so I am not just sitting and crying! This is the last thing I wanted to do was tell you all that she is DEAD! Please keep me in your prayers as I do not know if I am going to make it through this one! Shelly |

| Shelly, Oh, I am so very sorry to hear this. I can't imagine what you must be going through. I almost lost my Lola when I first got her because she was sick and so very small and it was a terrible time.....It should also be a comfort to know that you did all you could for this precious baby. She was lucky to have you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Oh, I so sorry to hear this, you probably can't think straight, please don't blame your self these extra-tinies often have other reasons why they are so small, and it's not anything related to the care you have given. Have you contacted the breeder? I don't know what her policy for this is, but I know you paid a lot for her and thought you were getting a healthy pup. My prayers are with you. I'm so sorry, we were all pulling for you.
