| The result of homemade cooked food for Kenzo and Hanzo I would like to share my experiences with you guys. Ever since I cooked for Kenzo and Hanzo, their coat becomes more shiny as you can see from the pics. The secret is I give them grounded flaxseed, sunflower seeds and also add hemp seed oil and also cook for them plus I give them ACV in their bowl. |

| just stunning! i too have noticed a huge difference in Layla's coat since starting homecooking over a year ago. Layla's tummy can't handle oils but your pups sure are benefitting from it! |

I'm so glad that your Layla's coat has a huge difference too. Alternatively you can add also grounded hempseed, flaxseed and sunflower seeds. They contain Omega 3 and 6 which can help to achieve shiny and healthy coat. | |

| ave a very simple receipe that I use: Put hamburger and 1/4 cup of rice in a pot cover with water -- bring to a boil, add vegetables and simmer till the water is gone and the rice is cooked. |

| My recipe for Kenzo and Hanzo The recipe is simple. 50% chicken or turkey or both(boil it with low temperature - take out all of the bones and the skin), 25% brown rice, 25% vegetable (zucchini, carrots). Use the broth of chicken when you cook the brown rice. Then pour the chicken or the turkey and the vegetable into the rice. You don't have to cook the vegetable. I usually give them 50 grams twice a day by adding 1/2 tea spoon of grounded flaxseed and sunflower seed on each meal. I also give them Hemp oil 3 times a week. Alternatively, you can add 1/2 tea spoon of grounded flaxseed, sunflower seed and hemp seed on each meal. Plus I give them natural yogourt as a treat. From time to time I give them too heart, liver and gizzard. They get boiled eggs too from time to time. You know the egg shell is good for them too. It's a good source of calcium. Flaxseed, sunflower seed and hemp seed are good sources of Omega 3 and Omega 6 |

| Ellie's reciipe is 1 ounce lean meat (usually chicken boiled with no seasoning or fat), 88 grams cooked carb (brown rice, wheat pasta, oatmeal), 60 grams cooked veggies (a mixture of at least two of carrot, bell pepper, broccoli, squash, celery) and 1 tsp. oil (olive or canola). Mix and serve with vitamins. This is about 150 or so calories.

| I've given BeBe a bit of homecooking as well. It was similar to the recipe above: chicken, carrot, zucchini, and oatmeal. I didn't add any oil. I ground it up a bit in the food processor and let her rip. I'm thinking about getting a YT cookbook for more ideas since she really enjoyed it. She was licking the bowl clean! |

| Wow They're beautiful! You're doing a fantastic job! I've resorted to cooking a few things for my little picky eater, topping it onto her Royal Canin. I'll have to try the recipes listed in here. Thanks everyone for posting!

| I make up a huge batch to last 4 or 5 weeks. I don't use chicken or turkey. Instead this is my favorite way to make up: I use about 8 pounds of different meat, such as 4 pounds of bison, 2 pounds of ground lamb and 2 pounds of calf liver. (the bison and lamb have no hormones or chemicles added) I boil the liver, drain and let it get very cold before grounding in the food processer. I cook 3 cups of brown rice with 1 cup of lentils and 1 cup of split peas till crisp tender then drain and rinse in cold water and drain again. I steam very quickly a large head of broccoli and put directly in the freezer to stop the cooking and to cool fast. (It goes in the processer too. I finely chop 8 fresh carrots in the processer. I cook the rest of the meats in a large skillet. I also put the meats in the processer till chopped small. You will need a BIG pot to put it all in so you can properly mix it. I put this in 1 qt. zip-loc freezer bags and freeze. They get either 1/8 cup twice daily with 1/4 boiled egg and a little oatmeal mixed into it for breakfast and 1/8th cup with some fish and cheese for dinner. (Both meals should total 1/4 cup each) If I don't add anything to this mix, I then use 1/4 cup. This may sound like too much to bother with for some of you, but it isn't, and it's for a very special cause. |
