Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Bella and Diggy are both Tiny ones. Especially Diggy. I use 3/4 of a Sentinnel Pill every month to 6 weeks. Diggy has reacted to Frontline and Revolution both. No problem with Sentinnel at all. It has flea and heartworm med all in one. Its made by the same company and Interceptor.

| We have had problems with Frontline Plus and my Alyssa. She has skin allergies and after using it each month she is in severe pain. She whines and scratches and is totally uncomfortable. At the same time Frontline Plus works great for my middle dog. No problems. She is a seven pounder. When I got Lucy our vet recommended Sentinel. She did say that it will not kill the adult fleas but you can get something called capstar which kills all the adult fleas on the dog. It is just a single pill that the dog takes. You have to get this from your vet. She said that she had studied the advantages and disadvantages of all available products and Sentinel is the only one she uses with her 3 dogs. My Lucy is 3.l oz. and the Sentinel is working well. I would prefer not to use any chemicals but until they figure out how to keep fleas off the dogs I guess I will have to use something.

| What about using Advantage? They have a 10lbs and under dose. So far I've liked Advantage the best out if it, frontline, ProMeris, and Revolution. It's a much smaller amount of liquid and doesn't leave a residue like frontline and proMeris do. And it's worked really well for me so far too. I usually have to apply it every three weeks though since I bath once a week

| I've never had a bad experience with advantage or really heard anything bad about it. The only product I've ever heard consistent negative things about was the Hartz products sold at like Walmart. Any product has the potential to cause a reaction, depending on the dog. Some dogs are more sensitive than others...some might have a reaction to an active ingredient used or one of the ingredients. Rylie had a bad reaction to Biospot that my mom bought for him at Petsmart once. But he does fine on Revolution, ProMeris, and Advantage (never tried frontline on him).

| we use Revolution I have 4 dogs from 3-8 lbs. and we have always used the Revolution. It is for fleas and heartworms in one dose. It goes on the back of their necks once a month. My 2 little ones (3 lbs. and 3.5 lbs.) use the under 5 lb dose. My 6 lb and 8 lb yorkies use the 5-10 lb dose. I like it because it is formulated by thei weight that is close to what they are. The ones that are for 1-25 are wayyyyyyyyyy too strong IMO and can cause problems. I have never had any problems or reactions from my girls using this. We have never had a flea. |
