I've never had a bad experience with advantage or really heard anything bad about it. The only product I've ever heard consistent negative things about was the Hartz products sold at like Walmart. Any product has the potential to cause a reaction, depending on the dog. Some dogs are more sensitive than others...some might have a reaction to an active ingredient used or one of the ingredients. Rylie had a bad reaction to Biospot that my mom bought for him at Petsmart once. But he does fine on Revolution, ProMeris, and Advantage (never tried frontline on him).
