We have had problems with Frontline Plus and my Alyssa. She has skin allergies and after using it each month she is in severe pain. She whines and scratches and is totally uncomfortable. At the same time Frontline Plus works great for my middle dog. No problems. She is a seven pounder. When I got Lucy our vet recommended Sentinel. She did say that it will not kill the adult fleas but you can get something called capstar which kills all the adult fleas on the dog. It is just a single pill that the dog takes. You have to get this from your vet. She said that she had studied the advantages and disadvantages of all available products and Sentinel is the only one she uses with her 3 dogs. My Lucy is 3.l oz. and the Sentinel is working well. I would prefer not to use any chemicals but until they figure out how to keep fleas off the dogs I guess I will have to use something.
