| As others have said, if you put a deposit down for a puppy from a reputable breeder they will hold off on docking the tail. I have seen on YT some puppies that still had tails, because they have European parents and the owners didn't want the tails docked on the puppies. Chip is a mix rescue, and he has a full tail. At first I thought it was weird, but after I got used to it I LOVE it.

| When I first got Sammy at 12 weeks, I was shocked to see the long tail. As you guys know, I didn't get him from a breeder and thought the tail had to be docked. Had no idea it had to be done at 3 days. Anyway, once the vet told me it was an amputation and that there were really no benefits to it, I decided not to. Sammy has his long tail, and I love it! He also has floppy ears. |

| As much as I like long tails.. I also like the docked tails.. I hope they just make it where the breeder or buyer can decide

| I always thought the long hair on a long tail would be an issue at potty time but it's not. We have 3 Biewer girls, all with their tails and long hair and if you keep them trimmed it's not an issue at all. The docked Yorkie tail is what I've always known and loved until I found out it had to be done and they weren't born that way...I think it's barbaric and I'm glad I won't have to do it with my Biewer puppies. If you want a Yorkie with a tail just reserve one with a breeder and express your desire for the long tail...they should be happy to oblige. |

| I prefer the docked tail and hope it is never made illegal here.

| My pups have docked tails but I just kept them longer than normal.I would have to say looking at my 2 adults(docked) and their pups I love the longer tail too just not the full tai .the in-between is just right and adorable.

| I never really given it much thought, but I guess I like the docked tail. Guess it's because I'm just so use to seeing it that way. It makes the body look more balanced JMO.

| Sadie has her tail Her breeder doesn't want to dock them any more... She is going to show Sadies brother. She doesn't think she will win but wants to show him any way. Here's a few pics of her...I love the tail, but Chewy's docked tail looks so cute too...One thing I will say, Sadie's tail is always wagging and when it's not it looks like a black cheese doodle curled over her back! Poor Chewy can't wag very well.

| I think many of us like the docked tail because that's what they're used to seeing. I'm betting that one day, docking will be illegal here for all but working dogs for whom it would be important for their safety. They look adorable with tails too! Like I said before, while I'm not an activist or have a strong preference in the look, I am guessing that God gave dogs ears and tails for a reason.

| late docs I had a puppy's tail dock at 3mo. It was a completely painless procedure (he was under for something else or I wouldn't have done it). I thought it might cause trouble being late in his "puppy life" but it wasn't bad, healed really quickly. I know a lot of PETA people are recommending we don't dock or do boxer's ears, that kind of thing. I love boxers either way but definately prefer their ears done. Oh, and cat declawing is being banned and on the list too. |

| I do not agree with docking at all...I'm so glad my Pixie has her tail...it's wonderful to see how she expresses herself with it...just how a dog is meant to. I think it may have been banned in the UK...well, I know ALOT of Vets will not do it, I just find the whole thing barbaric...all in the name of 'fashion'
