| Oh boy... if she wants to sneak her dog on a flight so be it. Rules are not law and just because its a rule or law doesnt mean its right. It was law to have slavery. How dare those people hide those slaves on the underground rail road. There also a lot of illegal immigrants, but that doesnt stoo anyone from letting them cut your grass, install siding, or build a kitchen. Where talking about a dog on a flight. Please... dont judge. Just live your life.

| Well, don't you think it's not just about what we individually might think are unfair laws or rules - and those maybe should be confronted openly to send a message - it seems to be about whether the individual thinks they should be able to flout a law or rule they don't like anytime while others are having to follow them in respect of our system and also about paying your fair share vs. trying to sneak and get by free when others pay up. If we all just lived by the particular laws/rules we like and practice individual anarchy at will, we wouldn't have a very successful economy or country. Only speaking up and not cheating can help change things we don't like about anything.

When someone buys a ticket to travel by air, they are not just buying a service, they are entering into a legally binding contract. https://www.google.com/search?q=buyi...hrome&ie=UTF-8 In doing so, one agrees to abide by their rules. If you think it is OK for someone to enter into a contract and then ignore the terms, don't complain when you enter into a contract with someone and they decide to go against it, ignore the terms, and do whatever they want. Don't complain if that happens, because that would be "judging!"

This pedalstool some of you have placed yourself on in mind boggling. A dose of humility can go a long way. Me personally, I'd pay the fare. If someone else doesn't, then they don't. I don't care really. Should they pay the fare? Yes. Destined for hell if they don't? Ummm.... Since everyone wants to be extreme... Is a starving person who takes a loaf of bread the same as the person who wants to skip out on their meal just because? But... Since we are talking about pets on airplanes... I'll keep it there. If they pay the fee good. If they don't they don't and it doesn't mean they are a horrible person. Just like if someone pays the pet fare they are a model citizen. Please. Someone metioned karma. Karma comes around regardless. That is why good things happen to bad people, bad things happen to good people and vice versa. Nobody is perfect. A perfect person wouldn't be here or looking down at others in such a drastic way.

A person is only as good as their word. I've seen, a little too close for comfort, what happens to people when they don't keep their word and others lose trust in them. I've seen people lose their families over it, and it takes years, if ever, for them to earn that trust back. So I see it as something very valuable and precious, a very simple thing, but not to be taken lightly. No, this isn't a multi-million dollar deal. But there is a contract involved, entered into voluntarily by anyone that buys a ticket. As such, the law applies. We are not talking about breaking a "rule" (like "don't dive into the shallow end of the pool" or "don't run around the pool"). And it isn't the same as paying for a service, like walking into a hair salon and asking for a haircut and paying $50, or whatever, in exchange for that service. It is a contract, legally binding. Very simple and non-judgmental, because if they are caught, there is no judgment to be made, the terms of the contract have already laid out the consequences should either party break any terms of the contract. (Kinda one-sided on the side of the airline, but that is another subject). "This pedalstool some of you have placed yourself on in mind boggling. A dose of humility can go a long way." There is some more judging! However, I see the person that lives by their word, and keeps their promises (whether verbal or in a legal contract) is the one with the humility. It is the person that tries to get by with getting around the contract, that tries to see what they can get by with, they are the one with hubris!

| Usually when people steal things/services, others who play by the rules end up paying the price.

| Good grief, Teri, I didn't realize how that terse reply was sitting there and obviously something happened and I didn't finish my posting thoughts and frankly, forgot my thought by now but, ouch, I never intended to be so tacky & abrupt. I had never paged all the way up and saw that before today and I thought what twit posted like that and was shocked to see it was ME! Geez, I'm sorry and I don't know my second sentence didn't make it on. Maybe could it be I usually just post in a smallish window or sometimes duplicate a tab to go back and look at a post or two, look at a name or something and I guess I did that to look, posted the second sentence on that second tab, the phone probably rang and when I got off, saw I still had an open reply and just hit submit on the short one of just to two beeeaaatchy words and probably just closed out my browser or something. Truth is, I don't know what I did but I promise I didn't men to answer you like that! I am so sorry and then to not see it for so long. How long how it been hanging out there like that? Apologetically yours, Jeanie

| Words mean nothing without action. You know the whole "actions speak louder than words". Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if it is differen't. I don't condone stealing and I think people should do the right thing even if it is easy to do the wrong thing. Yes, things should be simple, but it's not so simple when people add complex issues that do not compare to a dog on an airplane. This is why I don't get it and it seems others are putting themselves on a pedastal and I didn't mention anyone specific. I am not judging, I just don't see that way. I keep things simple, pay the fare, don't pay the fare. I will pay the fare and I have nothing to worry about. Prices go up whether everyone pays their fair share or not.
