| Well I can tell you what happens if you get caught because it happened to me. The gate agent asked if I had my boarding pass for my pet. I acted confused and she just told me to go pay it at the counter right at the gate. I did not miss my flight or delay it. I just simply had to pay it and was humiliated. My husband boarded right before me with our other dog and he got away it. You don't get arrested, pay major fines, etc - it's not a crime, it's an extra fee. Just thought you should hear from someone with first hand experience of getting caught. I wanted to pay but my husband did not and I was the one that got caught - go figure! Good Luck! |

I am sorry you got caught... but I just don't know how you even got to the gate. I fly out of mia and it is so crazy to be sent back to buy a ticket and go through security would make me miss a flight unless I was 3 hours early. Another thing to think about.. they have a limited number of pets allowed on a flight.. what if the flight was full? I agree in that it makes me mad that they charge... but it is the rules and just not worth breaking. I did fly one time with my dog, told the ticket agent when I bought the ticket I had a dog, but when I boarded they did not ask for the money on one of the "legs" of the trip. I didnt even think about it until latter..sad to say that never happened again

| WOW, I would NEVER take a chance like that. I guess I say "I taught my son to obey the rules, be respectful and be honest" so I follow what I preach..........I am far from perfect but I would not intentionally break guidelines. Just my opinion.

| I have done it. My best friend and her shih zu have done it. I think that the fee for some airlines is a bit high. I've paid more than not but when the funds are low and I feel confident I go with sneaking him on. I know the consequences so I just try to ensure I can live with them at the time of travel.

| That's why we have rules, laws and regulations as many people "see" things differently. But knowingly not paying a stated price for a service received on an airliner is still theft in the eyes of the law no matter how many people "see" it differently.

| Surely you jest!!!! That is exactly what my neighbor told the police when he got chased down after bolting from a resturant without paying for his meal! He was "just trying to save some money"!! That is what a co-worker told the police when her daughter got caught shoplifting make up..."she was just trying to save some money". I love that TV show, "BAIT CAR"....the people that get caught stealing cars, well they too, "were just trying to save money" on the cost of a new car........STEALING is not "just saving money"....THANK GOD WE HAVE LAWS TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE THAT GET CAUGHT "JUST SAVING MONEY"........I guess there actually are people out there that think "if you can get away with it, go for it!" Wonder if that includes lying, cheating, stealing, aka "saving money", murder, etc. Is this what is being taught to the children in this country? Is this the moral integrity that is going to be the future of this country? God help the law abiding citizens, trying to do the right thing......and you are from TEXAS!!! OMG!!!! YT 500 Club Member | Bhaha thats funny. I would never run out on my bill with out paying knowing I could have just got something off the dollar menu. An I know your friend didn't spend 200 on food. To some of yall 200 might not be much but to others that 200 could get you alot more then a dog riding on a plane. An I dont see why some of yall are acting like yall are perfect because yall are not. We dont have to agree...take it how you want and this has nothing to do with murder or anything else so dont even try it. |

YT 500 Club Member | The point is mine want be shorted and that is extreme measures. We are talking about a dog getting on a plane and now you all want to be over dramatic. You all act like y'all have never broke the law! |
