A person is only as good as their word. I've seen, a little too close for comfort, what happens to people when they don't keep their word and others lose trust in them. I've seen people lose their families over it, and it takes years, if ever, for them to earn that trust back. So I see it as something very valuable and precious, a very simple thing, but not to be taken lightly.

No, this isn't a multi-million dollar deal. But there is a contract involved, entered into voluntarily by anyone that buys a ticket. As such, the law applies. We are not talking about breaking a "rule" (like "don't dive into the shallow end of the pool" or "don't run around the pool"). And it isn't the same as paying for a service, like walking into a hair salon and asking for a haircut and paying $50, or whatever, in exchange for that service. It is a contract, legally binding. Very simple and non-judgmental, because if they are caught, there is no judgment to be made, the terms of the contract have already laid out the consequences should either party break any terms of the contract. (Kinda one-sided on the side of the airline, but that is another subject).

"This pedalstool some of you have placed yourself on in mind boggling. A dose of humility can go a long way."

There is some more judging! However, I see the person that lives by their word, and keeps their promises (whether verbal or in a legal contract) is the one with the humility. It is the person that tries to get by with getting around the contract, that tries to see what they can get by with, they are the one with hubris!
