Another thing to think about.. they have a limited number of pets allowed on a flight.. what if the flight was full?
I agree in that it makes me mad that they charge... but it is the rules and just not worth breaking. I did fly one time with my dog, told the ticket agent when I bought the ticket I had a dog, but when I boarded they did not ask for the money on one of the "legs" of the trip. I didnt even think about it until latter..sad to say that never happened again |
They make you pay right at the gate. Like when they tell you at check in your baggage is carry on size and when you are about to get on the plane they tell you it's too big and must be checked in. I've never tried to sneak Kaji on a flight, that's just what I've seen happen. No one checks at the security check points either. Your just asked to walk through with your pup and remove all his gear (collar and harness) and place those in the carrier. I have limited experience flying with a pup. It's pretty pain free and no hassle. Well, except for the ticket price. That kind of hurt my wallet.
