| Just checking in for updates! Thank you Connie for the cont. updates. I am sending lots of heartfelt hugs, prayers for strength and healing, and love to Patti, Jack, and family. Also for the Dr.'s to know what is best for Jack. I went to bed thinking about this and woke up thinking about it. Every time I think about it I stop and say a prayer for them. Hang in there Patti!!!!

| I don't have much of an update yet today. I just talked to Patti and they are just going in the hospital to see Jack. She was upset because last night they had him restrained...his wrists tied to the bed. I told her I didn't think restraints were allowed anymore and she said they are not. They had his arms wrapped in gauze and then tied to the bed. At one time last night Jack thought Patti was his Mom and Scott was his brother, but for the most part, I think he knows Patti...that she is the love of his life. They will be doing the next cat scan tomorrow morning. Patti told me that her plan is, once Jack is stable and able to leave ICU, that she is not going to let him go into another room there, but rather, take him home. She is so scared of him contacting a staph infection or something else. If Patti calls me before 2:30 with an update, I will put one on here, but after that I will be gone for a while and not able to update. My brother is having surgery on his shoulder today and I thought I should go sit with his wife during his surgery. My poor brother has had so many surgery's in the past two years that I've lost count. He got Meniere's Disease 2 years ago and in that time, went totally deaf and had one surgery after another. A few weeks ago he had a chochlear implant and now is trying to learn to hear with his brain, rather than his ears. He's been through so much and now this shoulder surgery. I hope and pray this is his last surgery for a long, long time. Anyway, not to take away from Patti and Jack, but wanted you to know I may not be updating until later. Once again, Patti said to say thank you to all who are praying for Jack. She is so grateful and so touched by the outpouring of love.

| I am praying for them constantly and now will add your brother also Connie. I know it is upsetting to see our loved ones restrained in the hospital but we have just spent the last 2 1/2 years in the hospital with my dear sweet grandson and he had to be restrained several times due to pulling out of tubes and such. They are allowed to do it but there is a process and forms that need to be filled out and such. Watching for further updates... Kim

| Hello all! I just talked to Patti. She, Jackie, Scott and Sue were shown the CT scans by the surgeon. The bleeding is still there, but they are hoping it reaches a point where it will stop before it reaches the point where he has to have surgery for a chance to live. The doctor told them he is still in critical condition and the cat scan scheduled for tomorrow, Scott said they are doing today. I don't know just when. The doctor told them the next 72 hours are very critical for Jack. Patti is so touched about the sign up for praying for Jack and would love it if it could go at least the next 72 hours. She and the kids want their names listed, so I will do that and then she will call me when I'm at the hospital and I'll give her the times I put them down for. Patti told the doctor about her plan that if Jack stabalizes she want to take him home immediately. The doctor explained to her that there will have to be a step down with needed care and also therapy before she can bring him home, so she is understanding of that. The doctor also told her if the bleeding stops, that it can start again, so it is important he be in the hospital for a time after that. They were also told the area of damage in Jack's brain is the area of memory and that type thing. I hope I remembered everything. Thanks everyone!

| Hello all! Jack was supposed to have a cat scan this evening, but I have not heard yet what the results are. I talked with Patti this evening and she was at home for a while to rest, but she couldn't sleep. She got very little sleep last night because she kept waking up to check on Jack and he wasn't there. That was very hard for her, so tonight she is spending the night at the hospital with Jack. I do hope she can get some sleep soon! She is so sad that Jack doesn't know her most of the time. She was told by the doctor to correct him when he is wrong, so she has been doing that. She said his left eye (I think it's the left) looks so terrible and when he gets out of the hospital she will take him to an eye doctor. I told her they can call in an eye doctor to come to the hospital. I guess the eye that looks so bad is from the fall. She also noticed his arm was bruised from the wrist to just below the shoulder. That poor man must have taken such an awful fall. Breaks my heart. Thanks to those praying for my brother. Would you believe that he spent the day in the hospital, IV and prepped for surgery, then spent 2 1/2 hours in pre op and then the doctor said that he better check with his cochlear implant doctor to see if the probe he will use on the shoulder, could interfere or short out the implant. That doctor told him he wouldn't recommend surgery at this time because it could cause a big problem with the implant. So, they pulled out the IV and sent him on his way. That poor guy had not eaten since the evening before. I was at the hospital until 4:15, when threatening weather was approaching, so I headed home only to get a call 15 minutes later that the surgery was cancelled. Good golly miss molly! Poor Rod...now he has to wait 3 months to have this shoulder surgery. I would appreciate prayer for him in being able to understand the sounds and noises he is hearing through his implant. It is different than hearing with the ears and can take 3 months to be able to figure it all out and understand the noises. I'm hoping it takes less time! Thank you! Hugs to all!
