Hello all! Jack was supposed to have a cat scan this evening, but I have not heard yet what the results are. I talked with Patti this evening and she was at home for a while to rest, but she couldn't sleep. She got very little sleep last night because she kept waking up to check on Jack and he wasn't there. That was very hard for her, so tonight she is spending the night at the hospital with Jack. I do hope she can get some sleep soon! She is so sad that Jack doesn't know her most of the time. She was told by the doctor to correct him when he is wrong, so she has been doing that. She said his left eye (I think it's the left) looks so terrible and when he gets out of the hospital she will take him to an eye doctor. I told her they can call in an eye doctor to come to the hospital. I guess the eye that looks so bad is from the fall. She also noticed his arm was bruised from the wrist to just below the shoulder. That poor man must have taken such an awful fall. Breaks my heart.
Thanks to those praying for my brother. Would you believe that he spent the day in the hospital, IV and prepped for surgery, then spent 2 1/2 hours in pre op and then the doctor said that he better check with his cochlear implant doctor to see if the probe he will use on the shoulder, could interfere or short out the implant. That doctor told him he wouldn't recommend surgery at this time because it could cause a big problem with the implant. So, they pulled out the IV and sent him on his way. That poor guy had not eaten since the evening before. I was at the hospital until 4:15, when threatening weather was approaching, so I headed home only to get a call 15 minutes later that the surgery was cancelled. Good golly miss molly! Poor Rod...now he has to wait 3 months to have this shoulder surgery. I would appreciate prayer for him in being able to understand the sounds and noises he is hearing through his implant. It is different than hearing with the ears and can take 3 months to be able to figure it all out and understand the noises. I'm hoping it takes less time! Thank you! Hugs to all! |
