Can I make a suggestion? Check with Methodist. I know that Texas Childrens wil treat Children without insurance even if they don't qualify for Medicaid. These hospitals donate a lot of care so please try. Ben Taub is the place to go if you are shot or stabbed but not for this type of treatment. Trust me. So please make some calls. I would try Baylor hospitals first. |
Thank you Danielle. Michelle and her husband have checked around and everyone tells them that Ben Taub has some of the finest brain and head trauma surgeons around. Michelle still has a drain line in her spine. The doctors are hoping that by letting some of the spinal fluid drain it will relieve some of the pressure from her head and give the head time to heal. She is on two very strong iv antibiotics. Michelle is still in pain but not near as bad as she was a couple of days ago. We are just praying that her head will heal and she will not need another surgery to repair a leak.
