Donating YT 500 Club Member | Technical question I hope someone can assist me with this. Plus, teach me where to look for tech questions/answers. I'm still learning my way around the site. I would like to know how to "disable" the posts that show up in my email from threads where I have posted. (I like getting the notice of private messages, by the way.) It is driving me crazy deleting all these new responses, etc. I prefer to return to the thread itself to read updates. All this service is doing in my personal case is clogging up my inbox. I feel certain it can be fixed with some simple adjustment but I don't know where to start. Thanks in advance! |

| I "think" it is under User CP (top left of screen) and then subscribed threads. You would need to unsubscribe to them. If you go to Forums (on the top left) and scroll down past general discussion, paste emergency, past health and diet, past breeding, past off topic discussion you will see the site questions and comments section. That is where admin answers these types of questions.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Crystal, thanks so very much! I didn't even know where to start looking. It was fairly hidden...LOL Plus, the subscription was the default....no wonder I was being flooded with stuff. It was really cramping my style in sending a note of encouragement or condolence since I would later be bombarded with everyone else's comments in email. I do enjoy going back to threads and reading at my leisure but it was slowing down my quick check of regular email. Thanks again. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You may think it not working, but once you change the default it will only stop subscribing to new subscriptions. In other words, you will keep getting old thread updates. To stop these as well, you can manually unsubscribed to them when they go to your e-mail address, or go to user CP, and it will show you a list of subscribed threads and you can manually unsubscribe to these if you no longer want updates. By the way, under "edit options" and "Messaging and Notification" if you choose "no e-mail" notification, it won't send updates to your e-mail address, but YT will still have a list of "subscribed threads" under user CP. This makes it easy to check out updates without overloading your inbox.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thanks, Nancy! I just took a break from cleaning house and checked my email to find tons of Yorkietalk subscription messages...LOL I thought it was because I didn't restart the computer but then realized they were all old subscriptions. I nosed around until I found the delete key on them. Now I think I'll be able to manage to "find" my regular emails. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Here's the link with full instuctions. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...file-page.html. If posting the u-tube on your profile page you have to change the address slightly. Basically you, you remove "watch?v=" and replace with "v/". Don't use quotation marks. One more thing, although you use the "URL" and not the "embed" address for the profile pages, make sure that the "embed" address does not say, "no embedding allowed" this means that you won't be able to post it on the Yorkietalk profile pages, no matter what you do to the address. See the link for detailed instructions with pictures.
