Well today is better with them. Tehy are actually cuddling in a doggie bed, I am shocked as just before that they were rally aggressive as I was cuddling the yorkie. Of course I am hugging him, the pom is pissed off with that and then starts to attack him very aggressively. But yorkie ont he other hand would get very mad and go at him also. So both are apparently fighting for my love it seems. I feel overwhelmed and exhausted. I will take them both for a little walk, dont know if this will work but I will try lol. I just exhausted to say the least, they are both napping in the wash room and not a peep out of them LOL:rolleyes: |

Hi, thanks for your long post. No, I dont show him I am mad if he does something other than chewing I say firmly NO NO NO. Poor thing acts like he never saw a toy in his life. Whereas my Pom has a hamber full of toys and knows everyone by name. Poor yorkie does not even know how to pick up a toy when I throw it for him. He just looks at it:( . I just wrote the woman and asked her if he was abused:mad: I hope he will soon feel at home and know this is him new home and I am his new mommy:( |

Awwww see, they will be fine in time. ;) You know my boy used to mark all over the house so I started using belly bands and he would pee in them within minutes everytime I put on on him but eventually he stopped and now he doesn'r even have to wear them. :D I also used socks, the elastic band around the top of a mans sock worked great if you put a women's sanitary pad inside it will stop the leaking. If you use the top elastic part of the sock it will be snug but still plenty comfortable. I did wonder if you are free feeding or feeding on a schedule? If you feed on a schedule only and limit his water by giving ice cubes so he can not get large amounts at a time (he doesn't need water at night in his bed) then it will definately help in potty training as you will have a better idea when he will need to go and he should have a little less pee pee to give. Keep at it and give plenty of love to both and you will be fine. |
1 Attachment(s) They say if a picture is worth a thousand words. Here is one that is worth that thousand. I just took this 3 mins ago, they are currently in this position, how sweet :D |
I'm so glad they are both adjusting to eachother..actually, that is pretty quick, as it usually takes longer to adjust..the yorkie probably was in a cage with other dogs, and had to hurry and eat to be able to get food, I've seen that happen, but, when they learn that they will get fed, they adjust..I'm sure you're wore out, not just from the long trip, but with everything you've been through..heck, I was to get a yorkie puppy the other day(last Wed) and ended up with 2 of them..believe me, I know how quickly you get wore out..:( But, they are worth it)..I'm really happy for you that they are becoming buddies.. |

Thanks, but they worke and guess what, Pom is humping the hell out of the yorkie. I guess I will just have to let it be and let nature takes it course:cool: |
Wow, maybe you just helped me with a new way to lose weight..LOL |
They are both adorable..my good friend has always had poms, she just said the other day after seeing my 2 babies, that if she ever changes from poms, she's going to yorkies...LOL as far as the humping, he's trying to show his dominance, heck, this little guy I got will be 12 weeks tomorrow, and tiny as can be, but today, he was trying to hump the shih tzu and she's going on 10 years...I usually just do whatever I can to distract him..:D |
I'm so happy to hear that they are getting along with each other. That will make is so much easier on you. Keep up the good work. |

Heehee. Well they are napping again, I have decided to confine BOTH to the wash room and not roam all over the house. Had some really terrible accidents even tho they were both taken out 30 minutes before the accdents. Both poo on the rug, both pee on the rug it was a mad house last night. I was so stressed. So I have decided confinement. Husband bought sanitary napkins for women and I will use this on them both as they are peeing thru the toilet paper. I am also making belly bands with a support to stop the pom's penis from coming out the band. He is literally raping the yorkie. I cant stop it 24/7 but he is a little terror:thumbdown . I didnt expect this. But still the yorkie is fighting back so there is still that power struggle:cool: |

I have always loved Poms. Actually I never ever dreamed I would have a yorkie, and look what has happened. I hope they both continue to bond and behave. Hopefully sooner rather than later the terrorizing will stop. The pom is literally terrorizing the yorkie until he is exhausted and then falls to sleep next to the yorkie LOL:D |

I dont know if you answered me before when I asked their names..its wierd to keep referring to them as the pom and the yorkie... Dawn |
You know what bugs me What bugs me is that you have names you said them(when asked) earlier.... WHY NOT USE THEM???????? Really Like said before if you Love poms so much why in the world did you get a Yorkie? |

If this is all truly happening as you are describing to us, perhaps you should try to watch your wording so you don't lose some supporters along the way. Unfortunately, that can happen quite easily. |

why refer to your "pets" as THE yorkie...THE pom??? AT LEAST say "MY yorkie...MY pom" but for crying out loud....give your poor dogs a name already! this poor yorkie pup doesn't stand a chance in this family because he is expected to be perfect from hour 1, which is insane. and compared to a pup that clearly can do no wrong. send the pup to me, i would love to have the opportunity to make him feel loved!! |
