Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh Sully...Chanel says she'll put her little nurse outfit on and come kiss you better... Val have you tried some boiled chicken and rice ? That may help him keep his food down ....Chanel had the same symptoms last year (both ends) - and it turned out to just be a tummy upset (after TWO Vet Visits) .... we never did know what caused it - the good thing is - it hasn't happened since. |

| Sounds like Kennel Cough to me. The vet will give him some meds that will help him feel better and get well sooner than if you just let it run its course. Sometimes even though we give our dogs the bordetella nose drops to prevent Kennel Cough, there are some strains of it that they can still get. My chi I had when I was growing up got it once or twice, and one of Emma and Milli's playmates from daycare got it as well recently. I would definitely feed him chicken and rice for meals for the next couple of days-that always seems to help upset yorkie tummies!

| Well, he's been acting better today, so I'm going to push back the vet visit another day and see since he hasn't been coughing at all today (except for once this morning), and he ate all his breakfast and it seems to be staying down without a problem. YAAY!!!! But he has been lazy around the house....but, then again....so have I. LOL. Today is my day off, and I got stung by a hornet yesterday so my system is all thrown out of whack. In a little while, I'm going to take him on a walk and see how he does with it. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my little guy!
