Sounds like Kennel Cough to me. The vet will give him some meds that will help him feel better and get well sooner than if you just let it run its course. Sometimes even though we give our dogs the bordetella nose drops to prevent Kennel Cough, there are some strains of it that they can still get. My chi I had when I was growing up got it once or twice, and one of Emma and Milli's playmates from daycare got it as well recently.
I would definitely feed him chicken and rice for meals for the next couple of days-that always seems to help upset yorkie tummies! |
